Remember that not everyone is honest in Cap d Agde

Hertford

It started to rain on the beach to day so I packed my belongings and headed back to the apartment .

On the way back I realized that I did not have my sun carousel , so despite it pouring with rain I decided to go back and collect it .

It was left erect and unattended for about twenty minutes .On my return it was gone.

I can only assume it was stolen to be used as an umbrella and probably before I left the beach as it is unlikely to be something that I would forget to take with me .

Having had a bag stolen on the beach two years ago I assume that nothing unattended is safe from thieves . However I did not expect a Carousel to be stolen.

Just a word of warning . Thieves are everywhere including Cap d Agde

Have to concur won't be coming back for a very long time! Think we got a false impression staying outside the resort last year. Port Nature appears to be full of thieves and the folliclely challenged

Someone possibly thought it may be abandoned if it was just left maybe?

"Someone possibly thought it may be abandoned if it was just left maybe?"

does that give anyone the right to decide if it is ? and even then it does not belong to them.

If i saw a sun shade left i'd leave it with one of the ice cream sellers they are there everyday and could get it back to the owner .

It was left unattended for twenty minutes maximum. I think it was taken while my towels were still there Even if you think something migbt be abandoned , you still would have no right to take it .

Torrox, Spain

It was also very windy yesterday.

One of ours took off along the beach a couple of years ago.

I didn't catch up with it until I got to Perpignan....

Don't think the ice cream seller would give a hoot to someone's umbrella!

Good point . However I had it anchored securely in a sheltered spot and it did not blow over when it was with me .

That happened to me once at Cap then I realised the wife had been kidnapped.

Pat, Your last sentence says it all, "Thieves are everywhere." Cap is probably no worse that other places. I think the main difference is that on the Bay of Pigs beach, the entertainment provides distraction and makes theft an easier occupation.

Anyway whilst annoying, it's not worth spoiling your good memories over.

Hi. A very valid point . My best memories are however from the Sauna clubs or my soiree evenings .

I have bought a replacement plus a special spike with handles for screwing into the ground .
