Hi all, have any of the regular Capd'Agde visitors been there during its bike week? I was just looking a French biker events and spotted that is in a couple of weeks time, and although after a visit to the Cap a few weeks ago I wasn't planning on returning so soon, that could tempt me. Apparently it happens every year- anyone know how big it is? These bike weeks can vary from a couple of hundred attendees to 20000 or more (or half a million in the US)- - so any info appreciated.

A pet hate of mine.

Continuous throbbing of bike engines, poseur/creeps walking around in four layers of studded denim and leathers in 90 F heat, some with WW2 German army helmets...wtf has any of that got to do with naturism!?

if you Google the tourist information office in cap d agde you can download their brochure in English - loads of info.

Bike week is a huge event, in and out of the village.

If you love vastly overdressed Harleys and Gold Wings, then this event is heaven. Very few other makes show up, maybe the odd Indian here and there.

If you're like us and a lot of other bikers, it's the very antithesis of what biking is about.

The event is pure bike dressage. Not saying it's wrong, 'cos it's clearly very popular.

Just not for us......

I think it's Sunday 28th August to Saturday 3rd September...it varies every year.
