"The village is at the same risk as everywhere else. We are vulnerable wherever we are. In early July the place was busy and for the first time in 7 years, we couldn't book beds at Paralia Beach on the weekend. Each year Babylone and Eden get booked up sooner, despite an annual price increase. If you rocked up on a dull afternoon you would turn away but many, like us, keep going back year after year and will continue to do so. Because we enjoy the liberation of walking naked and meeting people with a likeminded approach to life. There is no doubt many 'Libertines' do not embrace the naturist approach which is a shame. We laugh a lot and for both of us our trips to Le Cap have served only to enhance what we feel is a wonderful relationship. It can be costly, but not always. Pizza Flora sells great pizzas for 8 or 9 euros and the bakery nearby sells wonderful brioche Suisse for a few euros. " Excellently put!

"Thanks to Merkel's insane open door policy bearded islamo-fascists invaded a naturist women and children only resort in Germany only last week! I'm going to Cap next month and while concerned I applaud the fact that single males now need naturist cards to get into the complex as it will hopefully get rid of a lot of the arseholes and perhaps put off others with more murderous intent. " Given that most of the recent terrorist attacks in Europe have been home grown, you are wrong about Merkel's policies. I would like to see a naturist site continue in this country if non naturists kicked up a fuss.

"Apart from the French we are seeing a lot less Europeans in the village this year, all the terrorist incidents are seemingly having a knock on effect. A sense of unease is compounded by the constant police/security presence wandering heavily armed through the village. It would seem that this modern Sodom/Gomorrah is a soft target for those narrow minded bigots. It would only take one single incident to close this place for good. Perhaps the smartest bit of business done this year was done by Johnny & Jenny, selling up whilst their pub was still worth something!" I have seen many terrorists activities in my life , but it would never make me give up. In many ways , it makes one more determined to beat terrorism. While the recent events are horrible they are still isolated incidents and in light of stepped up security , how likely are they to happy again. I cannot see the French government allowing terrorists to destroy tourism. At my apartment , nearly all the parking spaces are fully occupied and I have not noticed any visible drop in visitors . Cap d Agde probably needs to be expensive . The cost will put off tbe wrong type of visitor and anyone with common sense will realize that all the fun comes at a price . Regular visitors appreciate quality apartments which are secure and safe and will probably book their accommodation up to a year in advance . Those who seek so called value for money or are on a budget are probably best to seek holidays elsewhere. The atmosphere in the Cap is unique and you will struggle to find it elsewhere in the world . If you find the right visitors they may ask you to their soiree evenings and you will be able to avoid hsving to pay entry fees for a sauna or libertin club.

"A number of fair points. However the road to Ghymnos is private The pub had gradually been losing customers. After 16 years we voted with our wallet in June and haven't been back, The prices overall certainly compare well with the rest of tourist France. Port Ambonne is currently undergoing a 2 million euro facelift. Oz has just built an extension. The Babylon parties were rocking in late June. Try getting a mooring for a boat. 35 to 40K Euro for a garage. Oltra invests heavily on the campsite and in maintaining standards. As for the enhanced security think of the challenge for the ladies! A few years ago CRS speedos were quite a trophy. I'm confident there is plenty of life left in the most unique place in the world. "

Maybe its the fact that its advertized as a naturist resort and most people walk around with shorts or dresses on all the time flouting the naked rule!. The NATURIST quarter is no longer naturist dont forget there would be none of the freedom to wear kinky gear at night if it wasn't for the naturists So flouting the rule has made it just another resort. Dont forget its much more expensive than a non naturist site as well so maybe people are saying sod it why are we paying to be in a naturist site and being made to feel the odd ones out? The fact is people are there for the sex not the freedom of not wearing clothes its only going to end one way, there used to be swimming pools for people to use.all are now pay to use. in naturist resort??? says it all really.

Bars such as 1663 , la Palmerie and Marines are still very busy . Theseach bars have a unique atmosphere and are excellent for people watching .

"Thank you for you input. We live in the area although not in the village. We have family members who work in the village. Talking to them and to bar and restaurant owners, they have all expressed genuine concerns regarding security. Talking to them, they are not saying ' if an incident happens' but 'When it happens' OK perhaps we should wait and see., The pool, foam parties, the hotels, campsites, car parks may all be full this year but American and Dutch friends have said that this will be their last year! We ourselves have been aware of a lot more single males this year and have gravitated towards more couple only events. Perhaps paranoid, but we have seen, in clubs, this year plenty of aggressive young single Arab males, embarrassing themselves. Although the village is convenient for meets we have not been in the clubs for weeks and the beach for months. For us it's just not worth the risk especially when there are such equally tantalising safe events so close to hand. However, whatever spin you put on it, the situation is not good. As you say, this place is special, and we hope so much that the present security is enough to deter these moronic idiots." have to agree it's a place where you have to be selective where you go and reduce as much risk as you can. We too are avoiding clubs - especially where there are a lot of single males - security is paramount. The tourist industry is well down this year 30% according to sources! That's everywhere not just the village. We have noticed Brits are down on previous years. Once upon a time 90% of our business was Brits - down to 10% now. Until they control the beach either by guard's or a fence the risk of an idiot getting in is high! The best option at this moment is going to a private party - that way participants are invited and security is the best you can get. The world is dangerous place!

Vile fuckers, did you hear them "praying" as well!? But that also demonstrates just how sloppy the whole site has got and why others are even more reluctant to get their kit off. I remember when the life guards berated you if you tried to get on the beach wearing anything...they should do the same now! At least the FFN cards may go some way to putting a stop to this!?

"We've been fairly encouraged by the increased security while we've been here. Spoke to a few police & security folks over the past few days and they are more organised than many would think. I doubt we will only stop coming here when we're too old or dead. By the way, if there is an attack while we are here, can someone drag our bodies over to the textile beach and pop some clothes on us? Cheers." Same here we wont let anything stop or fun .the chances are still miniscule compared to driving a car on the road .We would use our clothes if we had any on lol.

"I'm a bit concerned by all this negativity, that is what makes terrorism successful. We were there until mid July but this security seems to have happened since then although I agree that people wearing clothes on the beach should be stopped especially if coming from marseillan direction. It is a naturist village and should be treated as such. Jonnie and Jenny have sold up because of Jonnies health not because they think the place is going to hell in a handcart. We are going back in 2 weeks it will be interesting" we are there in 3weeks cant wait.

It is rather difficult to understand the logic behind your post . ( that is assuming there is any ). If we assume that Cap d Agde is a fairly liberal environment , most people have a variety of options available to meet , whether it be at private parties , clubs , or on the beach. Your post tends to imply that ( to quote your terminolgy ) a shag is guaranteed in return for organising a soiree evening . This scenario which you quote is highly unlikely . Considering all the other choices available do you really think ( and again to quote your terminolgy ) that someone is going to shag in return for a glass of wine . ?

"Sitting on the balcony having breakfast and reading the thread that provided last nights entertainment in Jonnys. Lot of giggles here, and obvious concerns, our main one is that a thread like this was ever posted....just the title alone gives terrorism a victory! Love Cap, happy to pay the extra for our holiday because we know it reflects the demand. A lot wrong, but there is anywhere. Police presence, yes it's up, same as it was in brum 20 years ago when idiots put bombs under motorways, but they are reassuringly professional here. They know what they're looking for and already seen helping with other issues. One guy with covert camera arrested last week. If I'd been next door to a group of 6 who were taking pics onto our balcony, trust me, you wouldn't need security!! Just ask the other 22,000 people here to assist you and they'd have been driven out the region. Surely the thought that this might be gathering Intel would be of interest to the police? Luckily there are a good few around to tell. Typically, I'll bet nothing was done though. Cap is unique and much loved by many. If you want more, or cheaper, or less risqué then please do go elsewhere. Personally we wouldn't holiday anywhere else. " Spot on Good to hear about the arrest of someone filming covertly..

"Refreshing changes in Cap, having lived here for last 14 years we are excited when things change in Cap. We have had one of our best summers so far and still lots of time to go.Why wouldn't the French step up security, when as a nation they are under attack. We should all be worried if they didn't, negativity destroys be positive its much more fun." Well said !!!!

"Arrived today for our second trip of the summer. Previously with AGN you did not need an access card but today the AGN office explained we would need to register with ID obtain a card before entering the village. At Paralia beach security searched our bag. The Gendarmes were at the coast guard station and on patrol. All good as far as we and friends are concerned.. The village is busy. One downside is the number of people wearing clothes! " Hoever , the majority of people will look a lot more attractive either clothed or partly clothed . The few men that do walk around naked at night look rather odd and stand out like a sore thumb. In any event , the resort has evolved from being a naturist to a swingers resort. At leaat if you are clothed , people can compliment you on what you are wearing

In my opinion there is absolutely no need to be dressed from morning to evening there - and fellow visitors should frown upon anyone doing so. People who are ashamed of their body and feel the need to wear clothes in a naturist resort are (a) on the wrong place and (b) tend to have inhibitions in the bedroom Let it all hang out as nature intended! Cap is the one place on this earth where people truly don't give a fook what your body is like - may it never change !!

The few men that do walk around naked at night look rather odd and stand out like a sore thumb. In any event , the resort has evolved from being a naturist to a swingers resort. At leaat if you are clothed , people can compliment you on what you are wearing It's not about "looking a lot more attractive" Pat - to suggest such fails to see the real joy of Cap which is the feeling of complete freedom to be had being naked 24/7. " Well said!!

"Its about time they stepped up security, fully clothed people walking along the beach with back packs on is very unnerving and being stared at by them is bloody annoying. They should have security guards either end of the beach so these people cannot get on the beach to start with. Like wise with the single blokes walking around or plonking themselves next to you wanking also gets a bit annoying, to be honest the place needs a serious make over it has had its day it is living off its name we have been twice now and won't bother again, The place is charging too much for what you are getting which if you went there with your family on a normal holiday you would feel proper ripped off, come on now you all know its true in our opinion there are much better places. The first time we went it seemed run down but as it was the end of the season or so we thought we forgave it,The mattresses being thrown out of the hotels were minging I would'nt let a dog sleep on it let alone your loved ones. We went again this year at the end of May which I would have thought is the start of the season it was the same run down shitehole that was there the previous year selling over priced junk. We think fairplay to Johnny and Jenny for getting off of the sinking ship. " You guys love a good moan, saw your club review for Libs recently.

" Luckily there is freedom or choice , those who wish to remain clothed can do and vice versa others can choose to walk around naked . It would be interesting to correlate which type of holiday maker spends more in the resort , and consequently contributes more to the local tourist industry " Thanks Pat - your posts are always interesting. I maintain however that the ethos of Cap is one of freedom and nakedness. You always seem to bring discussion back to money for some reason. For example earlier in this thread you state " the costs will put off the wrong type of visitor", before going on to say "those on a budget are probably best to seek holidays elsewhere". Although I'm sure you don't mean to , this type of casual elitism and perceived pretension - soirée evenings included - goes completely against the ethos of both naturism and swinging in my opinion. The Yardbirds said "or call a man a fool if for wealth he doesn't strive...Then mister you're a better man than I"..,, Naturism and swinging strip away the confines of wealth / race / sexuality. It's a shame this isn't universally recognised... As a regular visitor to Cap I welcome and judge people on the size of their heart, not their bank balance. Mr 2-4

Perhaps the smartest bit of business done this year was done by Johnny & Jenny, selling up whilst their pub was still worth something! I have seen many terrorists activities in my life , but it would never make me give up. O.M.G. you make us laugh .do you run soiree evenings by any chance? Inviting couples to your apartment for a guaranteed shag? ffs man . God loves a trier but you are taking the piss. ? yes. so you are saying that you did not have sex at one of your soiree evenings or mornings ? they are for couples only but you are a single man . cheaper than those clubs though ?. "Hi i am thinking for coming to the Cape to stay how easy is it to meet fellow swingers specially being single male. I am trying to do it on a budget as I am touring Spain, France etc on my bike just in Andorra at the moment but heading to South of France next thanks in advance Paul x Any advice much appreciated thanks " Hi. If you are on a budget , Cap d Agde may not be the best place to go. There are lots of people on the beach , but you will probably find it quite difficult to meet them there . Your best bet is probably the sauna clubs . It is comparatively easy to meet people in them. The entry fee will be circa. 50 Euros . One opens at mid day and the other at 2 pm. You are however up against fairly stiff competition in these clubs . Having said that , if you strike lucky you will have some nights that you will remember for the rest of your life . The experience in these saunas can range from having three ladies in a day to doing nothing . The waiting around can be boring . If you buy a day pass at Sauna Hamman re entry is allowed . This increases the cost to 75 Euros . Your other option are the various clubs , some of which admit single men. Again expect to pay an entry fee of 50 Euros upwards. The bars have a good atmosphere in the evening, some of which play music. I am not a big fan of going to English themed pubs when abroad , my preference being to mix with the local culture and attempt to learn bits of the language . The English pub is Johñny Wokkers . . If you meet the right people you migbt be lucky enough to get invited to patio socials or a private party. Have you arranged accommodation ?. This is expensive and as you state that you are on a budget , you will find it a lot cheaper if you stay outside the village itself . Enjoy your stay.

"Cheers fella I have seen accommodation around £120 but was thinking of villages out side then visiting bars etc I thought it was a lot more open swinging scene and not money making place. Ideally like to stay few days so probably best staying out of the resort. Thanks for all your help" Hi. Remember that you will need a to buy a pass to enter the village . There is also a Sauna club and Swingers club in Agde where accommodation is cheaper . The sauna clubs are simply sex clubs . Enjoy your stay and I hope you get the accommodation sorted . You could of course buy a tent and stay in the village itsself. I think that a pitch on the camp site is about 40 Euros a night

" Normally I ignore those who make negative or sarcastic comments . My preference in life is for those who achieve and do things as opposed to posting negative comments on an internet forum . Positive informed criticism is of course always welcome . I will however make an exception in this case and reply . Had you been sent an invite , you might have some grounds for complaint as a member emailed you with details of an event of which you did not approve and had no interest in . You would had have to waste your time reading an irrelevant message and as such could have potential cause to complain . What happens at the events themselves would of course be none of your business . I would not normally be quite so blunt but you have posted a number of very negative comments. It is up to those attending what they wish to do . No one would be compelled to attend and any one who felt uncomfortable could have simply walked out . I hope this addresses your concerns . I am very greatfull to those who attended and made the events a great success . The feedback received from those who attended is much appreciated . Everyone enjoyed a stunning view of the marina and the area at night

The great thing about forums is that different members can express different opinions . In light of your comments , I have put some thought into whether or not I should have posted the comments which I did . I believe that it was appropiate to make the comments which I did and do not feel in any way embarrassed for doing so. I prefer to live in the real world , accept that not everyone is equal and as such organise my life according . It is difficult to see how the world of swinging / naturism can be any different . Many decisions are made on appearances / looks . This may be wrong , but it is the reality of the situation. One example might be the sauna clubs , women are selecting men based on age , looks and various other physical factors . I prefer to accept that decisions are made on this basis , and use my plus points ( and accept my negatives ) and as such plan days / evenings according . I fail to see how commenting on costs in Cap d Agde can in any way correlate to judging an individual on the size of their bank balance ( or for that matter taking into account the needs of local business or accommodation agents ) If this is the case , it probably applies to every member of society. We all ( or every responsible ) member of society have to take into account the costs of items . A number of members have commented on costs in Cap d Agde . When you quote me as referring to people on a budget , it is a term quite commonly used by members ( not exclusive to me ) . Ironically , a single gentleman used that particular term the very next day when asking for information . I replied to him on the forum as did one couple and one single lady . At least he had the common sense to state that he was on a budget and as such the replies could be tapered according . As two other members also replied , I can only conclude that he had an interesting profile and people admired his sense of adventure . I get quite a few members ( couples , gentlemen and sometimes ladies ) emailing me and making enquiries about Cap d Agde or other issues not related to Cap D Agde . Without exception , I always reply and try to be as helpful as possible . Ironically , one was a phone call from a member who has posted a number of very negative posts on this forum . Negative or irrelevant posts are of course a reflection on the writer of the message ( not the recipient ) . I am at a slight loss to understand why organising a soiree evening should be considered to be displaying elitism . Overall your post is well written and nicely presented and your opinion / correlation is of course as valid as mine . However , I am at a total loss to understand how reflecting the costs of staying in Cap d Agde can have any possible correlation to judging people on the size of their bank balance . Again , I fail to see how anyone can claim to state that everyone is treated equally in swinging . If anything , it could be argued that it is a very superficial environment with decisions being made on looks . Luckily it is a free society and we can all express our opinions . Only individual members can assess the validity of an opinion and the assessment will probably be based on various events that have happened throughout some ones life . Thanks for you contribution and raising an interesting point .

"It is a shame how this thread has become a little personal, however we will add our thoughts to the pot. We were in Cap a month ago for our annual visit, a visit we have taken at least once a year for the last five years. Personally we found it as busy as always. The 'adult' part of the beach was absolutely rammed, and we saw many people queuing to get into bars and restaurants. We didn't see many empty apartments, but that was only what we noticed. Cap has been around for many years, and we are sure it will survive what is going on in these troubled times. We hope so anyway!! Regards to all." Couldn't agree more, just returned from our second trip this year and already booked for next, if anyone thinks it's getting quiet, then you weren't packed in Melrose like sardines on Saturday night, enjoying multi national sign language, or is that just improvised use of hands in tight spaces

There are various types of posters on fab including those who start original posts and make valid and interesting points . Other then contribute by expressing opinions or offering guidance and advice . The quality of a post is of course enhanced when there are facts to back up an opinion. I personally have found most posters on fab to be extremely helpful . Guidance and advice given / received has ranged from topics such as learning French , gas central heating boilers , washing machines , egr valves , releasing jammed locks , releasing jammed sleeves in taps , removing toilet seats , gardening , booking flights and advanced driving tests . In all these cases the posters are making positive contributions . The reply referred to above can only be considered as sarcastic and highly negative . Negative posts are of course a reflection on the author , not the recipient . If I was replying to a post about parties in a public forum which any one can read , I would provide a clear illustration as to how I proposed to organise things better . ( in this case the poster would appear to want to restrict the guest list to a certain type of individual , but instead of doing so just resorts to a short sarcastic comment ) One interesting point is that he / she spelt soiree with the correct French punctuation ( I do not think that punctuation is the correct word - however they have managed to add the relevant slash over the e ) . I can only assume that their keyboard must be set to type in French with the relevant punctuation correctly inserted . At least one point was learnt from the post , though I am not sure if that was the intention .

Fortunately no 'incidents' have occurred, so far. No doubt the authorities have taken seriously those threats against the Cap like the jihadist presently languishing in Beziers prison. As convenient as the village is (as a local) we are glad we do not have to pay the ridiculous prices for minuscule accommodation or use the, mainly, poor quality overcharging restaurants and grotty clubs. The 60's sink estate feel the run down pathways, the overcrowding and oh, all those desperate single guys. Once, you get over the 'over the top' promiscuity the place is simply shabby and desperately in need of some serious cash spending. However, a terrorist incident here would close this place down. As much as it is a 'golden goose' for the Marie in Agde it would force the national government to intervene and all those present overlooked shortcomings would no longer be tolerated. Let us hope that the present security presence continues and that the owners close down those security loopholes for next year. Happy swinging everybody and stay safe !

" Merkel and rest off the europhiles are killing off what is left of the west, they have invited the islamification of Europe our way of life and the freedom we hold so dear. I fear for the youngsters growing up in a Europe that will never be the same
