Costa Blanca Spain...

I knew that the place was for sale but I didn't realise it would happen so quickly. It's only three weeks ago that we were in there.

Anyway, best wishes to both of them and best of luck to the new owners.

We had hints a few weeks ago that they might not be there much longer, but as was said a total end of an era !!!

We've had good times with John and Jen, all the best for the future to them.

What a great shame!!

We were only drinking with them on Thursday night at Cap!!

We wish them well, and if they are on here please drop us a line!!

Jon & Jenny, you will know us by D's noted reluctance to wear underwear of any sort, and Jenny you took our pics for us a couple of nights ago.

Good luck for the future guys!

Looking to the future, we would offer support to Pascal and Caura; it's intense work if they are going to work the place solo as the previous owners did.

Really going to miss those smiling happy faces behind the bar, but to be honest we don't go to Cap D Agde just for JW bar, do we !

Spent many a pleasant time there in past years and was looking forward to it again in late August when I am there. Hope the new owners maintain the good atmosphere

The end of an era which is a shame but not unexpected.

We have met lots of nice people and have had some good times and laughs in the bar over the last 20 years.

Good luck to the new owners Pascal & Caura looking forward to meeting you next month.

End of an era, the place will never be the same !

Let's get real, some of these comments are abit over the top, it's a bar that's all, a bar most visit for a week while on holiday once or twice a year.

It's not life changing , the world hasn't ended.

Cap d’Agde, France

The intention is to keep the Euro pub theme with sky sports etc.

Pascal and Caura, lovely couple, Pascal speaks ok English, Caura is learning fast.

They have other business interests in Sete but intend to open 2pm - 1am.

Sure they will bring something different to the place and it will retain the name, Johnny Wokkers.

Good move for Johnnie & Jenny, after 19 years his health was starting to suffer. They are sure to be around though from time to time.

", after 19 years ."

That's been one party

I always got the impression they were not 'on scene' so to speak

All the best to both of them. Spent many crazy nights on the balcony with friends, chasing beer mats around with Jenny, chatting away with Jonny. We know they will be missed by many regulars here. Really hoping they eventually get to visit us as well once back in the uk. That would be a good reunion party.

Was always the home of the Tigers as well.

Good luck to both of you in the future. Stay well and happy.

Paul & Toni xx

My thoughts as well.

When I am abroad I prefer to go to the local bars.

Watching TV in a bar has no appeal to me whatsoever .It may be a great place for meeting UK residents but apart from that it is just another bar.

For activities such as people watching 1663 ( or is it 1664 ) and La Palmerie are in much better locations and also do live music

most of us on this thread are sending our best wishes to a friend. Not sure why it needs to become a review of Cap bars all of a sudden.
