Manchester

Struggling to find flights from Manchester to Béziers. Is this where people fly to or do most people fly to Montpellier? We have never been before. What months can we go? We heard its only open for two months of the year? Help please. Thank you

Chelmsford

Hi, we’re no experts but from what we’ve read on the forums, it’s open from May to September with June, July and August being the peak season, where most things are open.

Beziers is the nearest airport but Montpelier is the next, about an hour or so away. Not sure how you’d get there from Manchester though. Hope that helps.

Bristol to bezier also works well, Montpellier is a decent drive away, it might be worth checking out a train from Montpellier

Cap d'Agde

As has been said Beziers is the nearest airport but alternatives are Perpignan, Carcassonne, Montpellier or Nimes which are all within roughly 90 minutes by train to Agde. At Agde train station there is a bus service, route 4, that will bring you to the entrance of the naturist village, it costs only €1 per journey per person.

We are flying from Manchester on the 23rd of September, it seems that that Ryanair only charter flights on certain days to and from beizer. Best to look on Ryanair's website.

Can recommend if you have trouble finding flight schedules to beziers or Montpellier, fly to Marseille. Very easy 2 1/2 hour train ride from the airport to agde that I have done a few times if flights to other airports don’t match up. You will get some very decent prices on airfares from most places to marseille airport, and it has a very easy bus transfer from the airport to train station.

Not much happening there in winter guys, far better off to spend new years in Australia! Save the cap trip for June/July you won’t be disappointed 👌

This is our third year here, coming from Dublin, and Beziers is usually unavailable to us as the only flight there is from Shannon.

The first time around we flew to Nimes and rented a car, and it wasn't too bad. Most of the trip is motorway, all the way to Agde.

The following year we didn't want to drive, and public transport was a somewhat challenging mix of trains and busses and it took a fair amount of time to get from one place to another.

For this year's trip we flew to Montpellier relying on public transport, and again it wasn't the best choice. From the airport we had to take a bus, a tram, a train, then another bus, with a lot of running and seconds to spare, and already dreading the return experience.

We haven't tried flying to Marseille, but for us a 3 hour drive to Shannon might be better than a 2.5 hour transfer from Marseille to Agde.

Overall, in our experience, if you don't want to rent a car, try to fly to Beziers.

Edinburgh

Beziers is a brilliant wee airport and only 10 minutes by cab away depending on time of day. Road is busy just before canal at the super U shopping area on way into Agde most of morning and late afternoon and busy on way to Beziers from around 4 at that same point.

The airport is tiny and really just serviced by Ryanair so queues etc are not a great problem. Plenty transfers available as well. Far better a wee bit further travel in your own area to an airport that services Beziers than going to one of the others that have been mentioned here.

That said each to their own for travel plans. Also worthwhile keeping in mind this year the use of Meta glasses has been significant sadly!! 3 weeks in June and it wasn’t too bad. Last week July first 2 weeks of August and it was ridiculous how many people were using them on the beach and other areas.

Beziers is far closer than Montpellier but less choice of flights, probably. From Montpellier either taxi all the way (expensive), taxi or bus to Montpellier Central or to Montpellier-Mediterranee and train from there to Agde. It can seem a bit daunting but the French railways and stations work well and we've always found French people in stations etc to be very helpful.

Birmingham

As I'm now retired I take my time driving down to Cap from Birmingham using the tunnel rather than flying and camping rather than paying for overpriced studios at Cap. 3 stops each way with one at least being several days at a naturist campsite. 3/4 weeks on Rene Oltra campsite with plenty of fun around the village or beach. Then onto a couple of other naturist campsites for 3 weeks before the journey home. Next year the plan is just over 8 weeks in France (mid June to mid August), with 4 weeks at Cap, 12 nights at La Turquettes (Naturist near Frejus, Provence), 12 nights at Belezy (naturist, in the Ardeche near Ales) and 4 nights on the way home at either Diamonte Noir (libertine near Bergerac) or Creuse Nature (naturist near Montlucon). Its a pity I'll have to wear clothes at the hotels for the other 4 nights
