Last year, there seemed to be a police presence in the dunes and on the beach. How's it been this year so far?

Was there for 3 weeks in June and there was no sign of them at that time.

There are fresh signs up at the dunes which used to be a main focus area so if anyone is caught in there they shouldn’t have been there.

Back in August for another 3 so hopefully there will still be plenty fun to be had in the beach!

Various signs have been there a while TBF.

Has the fencing been replaced?

I'd imagine that the police are probably more concerned about people using the dunes as a toilet than they are about people having sex, but you can't stop one without stopping the other.

Though some people may find the news that the Police are applying a light touch in the dunes more of a reason to visit.

Evidently, there's a new mayor that's a bit more easy going.

Having said that, there were 5 bobbies on the beach yesterday but they were apparently looking for a particular person.

17 cops marched down the beach Tuesday, and three appeared heavying a guy. No idea why. Then 3 ice cream sellers - brought off the beach apparently for being unlicensed.

We wondered if they were interested in the sex, but apparently not.
