I always wonder if there’s a hidden code to it. Like when you walk along a corridor in a hotel and a door will be slightly ajar with a sock in the doorway or something to cause people to pause and maybe look in and see things.

I did hear once that people had pineapple symbols to stick on door when on a cruise but think that they were winding me up
