I’m off to Meribel on Saturday, looks like they’ve been having some really good snow over the last week or so and I’m really excited. Just got some new boots as well, got bored of rentals that have had other peoples feet in them

It’s been dumping, over 50cm in a night. Outrageously good powder though the avo risk is high. Defo pack the phat skis for this week coming.

After a month in France, I’m off to Germany tomoz, hopefully they’ve had just as much. We need a German ski thread!

It's a nice area but quite limited for really experienced skiers. Maybe don't get the Nordpass that covers just Pal-Arinsal and Arcalis, and the get the Andorra pass. This will mean you can go to Grandvalira too. Easy to get to if you're staying in La Massana. A bit further if you're staying in Arinsal.

I’m staying in La Massana right at the bottom of the gondola and might do a day in Arcalis just to mix it up a bit, will depend a lot on the weather really, been quite a few days recently when I’ve seen the wind has shut down a lot of the upper runs/lifts. Im using this trip more as a chance to improve my technique than anything else so will be quite happy to repeat runs over and again

Good plan.

The weather has settled a lot at the moment after 2-3 months of storm after storm rolling in. Back to the usual sunny, warm and no wind. You should be ok on the whole as the base is excellent now.
