Another new mayor for Le Cap and the rumours have started. Heard a little whisper that new mayor is banning any shenannigans on nudist beach including consumption of alcohol and will be policing it with drones I can think of a better use for them like delivering champagne and condoms.Any other regulars heard similar?

Just back from there last week and it was life as normal there. Spoke with a number of others who are also repeat visitors and a couple of locals no mention of this plan at all.

Was busier this year than last year at that time and weather was spot on nearby Marsillan Plage was being made ready for the boost in holiday makers as normal by the local council team who have to be commended for their work and the way they have the resort there maintained as well.

Fingers crossed this is just wild rumour which will come to nothing. The beach has always been an unofficial action beach and will hopefully remain that way. Sadly the dunes were also subject to plenty people coming and going from them this year despite the new signage to keep people out and that is the kind of thing that may cause a bit more issue in that beach sadly.

Will be back in that beach in 3 weeks and will update if any changes or updates regarding this new Mayors plans.

It's June, the beginning of the season, every year the same thing happens. The mayor will have had a few local prudes and others telling him all year he's got to do something about these undesirables. The actions take place in June, there will be Gendarmes on horseback in the dunes, a few arrests and fines, the local rag will be present and will report on the highly comendable actions.

Once that's over and the prudes are appeased, the horses can go back to their stables and the money making machine can continue, with the local economy benefiting handsomly.

They're just rumours. Idle gossip. I've not heard anything and they do have a Facebook page. Also, I listen to the radio a lot and there's nowt on there.

The rumour I heard is that cap d'agde will have its own section in the forums and grouped with pdi, leaving the france section for the rest of france..

Happened Wednesday with about 20 odd Gendarmes.

Didn’t see any arrests but did see numerous single fellas heading for them thar hills.

Thursday and yesterday back to normal…for Cap
