We visited the sauna last night and were horrified by one of the movies screened there, which depicted a really unpleasant and brutal r a pe scene, with the guy grabbjng the protesting and struggling woman round the throat , pulling her over his desk, spitting on her and slapping her as she was trying to get loose.

I realise that this was just a movie, presumably being acted and not for real, but being shown in public and particularly in a place where respect and consent are so important nevertheless shocked us. There’s lots of “ok” porn out there without having to resort to that sort of stuff.

Probably. I complained to the guy behind the bar as he left and he was apologetic, said he was new and would report it but I would be surprised if he did and if he did, that it would be taken seriously. As there are always plenty of single guys looking to hitch up with women there, it’s a concern that it could be misunderstood as OK behaviour.
