Terre de Soleil 2024

Hi all

Cap d'Agde is being covered on other threads, so we thought it a good idea to keep this thread for news about the "Best Kept Secret" just up the road from Cap, about a 20 minutes by car.

For those that aren't aware, Terre de Soleil is a naturist campsite with a difference.

L'Extasia is one of the biggest swingers clubs in Europe and is situated with the grounds of the campsite. A couple of minutes stroll.

The campsite is much, much smaller than Cap and is also Libertine. This means it is very intimate and swinger friendly with parties going on most evenings, which mainly involve inviting your neighbours over for apperos and whatever else develops..! If you prefer to stay on sites where there are very few rules about sexual freedom, this is the place to be.

The site is for couples and single females only. But don't worry Ladies, there's plenty of choice of single guys just up the road at Cap if that's your thing..!

There are pitches for camping, caravans and motor homes. There are also some very nice mobile homes and even small tents for hire.

It's an adult only site, so no fear of youngsters peeping out from behind the curtains.

There is a very loud disco at L'Extasia every night in July and August, so don't go expecting an early night with a good book and a mug of Horlicks...!

The site is well run and has a huge swimming pool and a terrace bar serving lunch. The price hasn't been announced yet but expect about €40 per couple, which includes wine and two sunbeds by the pool. Great value.

There's a 12 person hot tub which is great for getting touchy feely with your new found friends and there's a free foam party every Sunday afternoon in July and August.

But the best bit is the Petit Bois, or 'little forest'.

It's a secluded area just behind the bar and has outdoor play beds, together with some open cabins for group fun. It gets very busy after lunch when the sun and wine take effect. This area is also part of the disco at night.

L'Extasia is the club and has a huge outdoor dance floor and an equally huge sound system. If you wish to hone your pole dancing skills, you're in heaven. Dress code is sexy and you can get as frisky as you like on the dance floor or on the sofas that surround it. There are plenty of playrooms upstairs including a glory hole and one of the biggest beds you'll ever see.

Also on site is La Palasia restaurant which is a cabaret type evening where you can pay a combined fee for a meal, entertainment and entry to L'Extasia. The entertainment is normally normally drag, tasteful striptease or burlesque, nothing extreme.

The campsite opens on early May but La Palasia and L'Extasia are open most of the year, but not every night. You'd need to check the website for details, just Google 'Terre de Soleil'.

You'll need to book a chalet soon, they are very popular. Campsite pitches can also be booked on line but not necessary unless you're planning on being there mid July to mid August. They sometimes have an English speaker in the office. If not, they come and get us...!

We have no connection with the site but we've been staying there for over 20 years so we can probably answer most questions you might have.

We'll be there all summer.

See you there....

It's a lovely, chilled place in the woods. It's more of a real French experience.

It's a short drive from Cap d'Agde if you fancy visiting there for the day. And you can also get to the swingers beach from the other end, and save yourself an entrance fee!

The site will be opening soon, it's a hive of activity at the moment.

Weather is picking up nicely (27C last weekend, but a bit cooler now) and we're looking forward to pitching up there.

If you're panning a visit down this way, it might be an option for you..

Let's try to keep this thread focussed on Terre de Soleil.

There are several swinger friendly campsites in France, but nothing on the same scale.

Its proximity to Cap is a major factor in that.

There are several reviews of other sites on the France forum.

So, the grand opening is this weekend.

Weather is picking up after some heavy rain and the forecast is mid 20’s next week.

"Are day or evening visits possible? Staying in cap but would like to check this place out? "

Day visits are always possible and also some evenings when there is entertainment on. Could be live music, small disco on the terrace or karaoke. On these evenings, food is included in the price. Last year it was €40.

Day visits could be lunch including wine and two sun beds by the pool for €40 or just sunbeds for €20. Prices are per couple. Obviously, the meal is good value…!

Times and prices for the club, L’Extasia, can be found on their website. Various deals on offer, including entertainment at the restaurant alongside and/or accommodation.

If you’re staying at Terre de Soleil there is free entry to L’Extasia Monday-Thursday.

Love this place!! Such a chilled vibe when Cap gets a bit much. They both work so well together. Highly recommend a visit. Bring the mozzie spray though

Staying in Cap (Oltra) now to figure out how to get there or hopefully hook up with others going

We’re told that taxis are not reliable for the return trip to Cap at silly o’clock in the morning.

Last year a group got together and hired a minibus which seemed to work well.

Best hire a car if there’s four of you.

We love L'Extasia and first went 11 years ago. We do find that average age has been increasing quite significantly. A absolutely gorgeous crowd but I would say the average age was 60+ when we were there last year.

That was out of high season though when it wasn't open every night. Is there a younger crowd during the summer?

Regardless, well worth the trip if staying in Cap and would recommend going for the dinner beforehand too

We’ve never seen an average age of 60+ at L’Extasia, but certainly in the shoulder seasons it’s an older crowd.

In the height of the season it varies. Often between 30 and mid 50’s.

But everyone is there to have a good time, not just in the playrooms so it makes for a great atmosphere.

Everyone is different of course, our tastes will not necessarily be the same as yours.

But it makes a change from Cap if you’re there for a couple of weeks.

If you like to boogie on a large outdoor dance floor to a professional DJ and sound system with the added distraction of nearby playrooms, you can’t go wrong…!

See you there

Hi There

If you're good at organising you can get a group of you together and hire a minibus. Our friends have done that with us a few times. Could find out the name of the firm from them if you're interested?

It is very hard work though. Not so much drumming up interest, but getting people to commit

Really great night out though

"Are day or evening visits possible? Staying in cap but would like to check this place out? "

Living nearby we often visit for the day in the summer, particularly during mid July to mid August when the Cap is manic.

We usually turn up before lunch, pay 40 euros (per couple last year) and are given two sunbeds and a shade by the huge pool, included in this is the main course from the lunch menu (choice of about 6 dishes) and half a litre of wine.

Very good value as are any extras and on Sundays they have a foam party in the afternoon

Play is not allowed in the pool area but there are some cabins in a little wooded area nearby.

We went in the evening last year with ShropsDuo and 3 other couples. It was 80 euros per couple for a 3 course meal, wine, erotic floor show and club entry after.

Very busy in July and we lost sight of 2 of the couples in the club and little wood (its a big area) but were all able to all meet up a few days later for a party at our place.

What's the dress code for La Palasia? French places can be a bit fussy!

Dress code is smart for both sexes. Everyday shorts or trainers are not allowed.

Ladies can be as daring as they like.

Most couples will go over to L’Extasia after the show, so wear something comfortable for both activities..!!

We’re hoping the rain has finally moved on and hopefully the mozzies will follow.

It’s been one of the wettest springs on record, everything is still green with not a patch of brown earth to be seen.

Up to a decent 24-27C next week. The site has been very quiet recently but that’ll change with the sun arriving.

L’Extasia has been hopping on the 3-4 visits we’ve made this year.

Allons-y…!

The weather has settled, the mozzies have calmed down and things are looking a bit more like they should.

And from today 5th July, L’Extasia is now open every night.

Tonight, if you want to watch France play Portugal at the same time a young lady is losing her clothes in a Burlesque show, La Palaisia is the place to be.

€60 per couple will get you a meal with wine, the Footie, a naked dancing lady and entry to the club.

Only in France…..!!!

That sounds fun! Could we please ask how busy it is on a midweek and typical age spread of couples?

We visited TDS for the afternoon foam party a few years back, but have never been to L'Extasia.

We'd be thinking about a visting on a Tues/Weds evening, prob not doing the meal before. The website has nights starting from 10:30pm. From memory there was a big house when you drive in, and parking is around there?

*thanks for any answers you can give, much appreciated.

Numbers vary according to the weather so difficult to say.

Certainly as from this weekend the campsite is much busier but a lot of locals come along too.

France are playing in the Euros on Tuesday so I’d avoid that evening…!

Age averages 35-60 normally.

I've got to go to Cap unfortunately. I know nothing, camping and I'm a beach addict, my birthday is between 18 and 25 September.

It sounds like a lot of fun but I'd have to find a single guy or a couple that I trust to take me.

I'd like to swim in something other than chlorine like I do in London.

Chlorine pools have zero appeal to me on warm/hot holidays.

The pool at Terre de Soleil is certainly nothing like the leisure centre pools back in the UK.

My memory of it is cool and refreshing, and no smell of chlorine!
