Hello everyone, so yesterday the french immigration bi was passed after some amends to accomidate the far right.

Does anyone know if the segment regarding homeowners was retained or dropped? British news have not mentioned it. We know this isnt very sexy but it could be exciting news

Hi been reading the Survive France, they have confirmed thr law has been passed inclusive of the full grant of british home owners expceptions to automatic long stay visas. However comments appear divided as although the law has been passed apparently there will be further debates. Which will delay implcatation & may find the wording watered down or worse still removed.

the bill has passed and currently gives the green light for property owners to be given automatic 6 month visas (does not matter whether bought before or after brexit) but there are further debates due on the subject and the bill also has to be confirmed as meeting the french constitution so quite a few hurdles to get over before it becomes formal so could be looking at 2025 before its fully implemented

Immigration in french minds relates to colour , and religion, most brits are safe, just need to keep an eye as a big chunk of the law is very likely to be rejected by Conseil Constitutionel , french Supreme Court.
