Had the same idea. Booked flights for February. Looking for the right club, then gonna book a hotel near enough.

Blois, France

If you're coming to France or Belgium then it'd be best to come by car or hire a car at the airport as the clubs tend to be out of town (unless you go to Paris). It'd be a good idea to make a weekend of it so you can visit the local area too. Our suggestions are:

1. Acanthus near Courtrai in Belgium - we've never been, but lots of people talk about it. For visits, think of Ypres and its WW1 museum and a trip down to Lille in France.

2. Liberty Station near Nantes. Stay in Nantes for a city break or stay at La Baule or Pornic for a weekend by the sea.

3. Elixyr at Tout-y-Faut (Vergné) near La Rochelle. The club has a hotel as part of the complex so you could stay there but its a long way from anything else - perhaps better to stay at La Rochelle which is lively all year round.

4. Le Karma at Cangey near Blois. Stay at either Blois or Tours. The area (Loire valley) is famous for its chateaux and Tours has a great town centre.

Ryanair do flights from Stansted to Nantes, La Rochelle and Tours.
