We realise our questions may have been asked in previous threads, but having spent some time reading through the forum we hope you don't mind us posting a few questions of our own...

We're looking to head to Cap for a stay inside the village for 5 - 7 days in June/July 2024.

- first, how do we book an apartment/studio? We've read about agencies (even Airbnb and booking d0t c0m) - any recommendations?

- how soon in advance are places available to book; i.e. book now, or likely not until the new year?

- June or July? We're thinking end of June at the moment, if we can get it.

- suggestions for which area in the village would be a good place to book (having never been we're not sure of the scale of the place)

- Cap will be the end point of a road trip down France - will there be somewhere to park our car in the village, or do we need to book a place that specifically has a garage?

Thanks in advance.

I would definitely recommend end of June - lots of Brits down here!

Generally you book in the new year - most apartments are privately owned and the agencies allow the owners to choose their weeks. Campsite isn't available to book until early January when they come back from the Xmas holidays.

Some apartments come with a parking space - if you book accommodation on the campsite (Rene Oltra) you will get a parking space.

Hope that helps but if you need more information then let me know.

Regards

S

Meant to say the whole village is walkable - but bikes which you can hire are an ideal option!

Hi,

Late June early July are good times to go. However, mosquitos can be a pain...take your favourite repellent!

Resid and AGN are some of the biggest rental agents. Both have online brochures and staff speak good English. Get info from them by email. Probably won't confirm a booking before new year.

Heliopolis or Port Nature most popular rentals. Ask for car parking, air con, lifts etc when you book. Beds can be a bit small or folding.... AVOID click clacks horrible folding things. Most bookings are Saturday to Saturday.

You can buy whatever you need in the village and it's all in walking distance.

Hope this helps.

D and A.

Sandrine at Resid is top agent. We always use her- good English, nothing ever a problem and if there is - always fixed immediately. They have some great apartments in Port Nature.

We went this year with https://www.locationsnaturiste-capdagde.com/en

And have rebooked for next July. She mostly has apartments on the ‘quieter’ side of Port Nature- which suits us- and as we go peak season (end July) it’s not quiet anywhere.

Totally recommend. Booked through booking.com this year and direct with Beatrice for next.

Not quite sure which post to hijack, but been elsewhere in the south for the last few days and it's been pretty hot. Arrived in Montpellier today and it's been even hotter. Just how scorchio has the beach been these last few days?
