It’s our second time here 25th to 31st august first time was a flying visit and loved it hence why we are back

We want to make lots of friends while we are there but thought the language barrier won’t help

So was thinking wearing a uk flag to let everyone know we speak English but that seams a bit racist so we are going to wear something with a pineapple on each day

But would be great to have a ice breaker if anyone got any ideas

Also where are the English speaking bars ect

Sorry we aren’t any good at learning the language enough to have a conversation

Start playing with each other... you'll soon get noticed by the Gerkin Jerkin brigade... lol

Cheltenham

Firstly- no problems being noticed on beach. Secondly- advice on meeting people and language barrier is sign up to all different sites- use ‘who’s near’ - post regular updates and join WhatsApp groups.

Plus- loads of Dutch, South Africans, Yanks and Aussies here at mo.

You don’t need to speak French in the Cap but your chances of interacting with francophones is non existent unless they speak some English.

In early September there will be hundreds of anglophones in the Cap scattered in the bars, the Bodega perhaps the most popular.

You could be fucking like crazy on the swing beach with little interest, it’s always strange how some couples draw the crowds and others don’t.

Displaying a flag is good (it’s not racist) but forget the pineapple, it won’t mean anything.

Our advice would be to contact people before you arrive by looking on the ‘Cap d’Agde visitors listing’ thread.

However, without verifications you might find people reluctant to meet you.
