"Wow 240 seems incredible, who did you book that through? We normally hire a car but not this year as the cheapest 2week cost was over £700 would still hire at that price " . Hello . This is from September 4 th to September 18 th so it is out of season but still a lot less than some other quotes . I used Flexi Car last year and the car was supplied by Alamo . I assumed that the price last year was because of Covid I am going to phone Alamo directly them to morrow about the pick up . If necessary I will get a taxi and come back next day . I do not mind the inconvenience of getting a taxi and coming back next day - I just do not want to lose my booking as a no show . Your price probably includes excess insurance , mine does not but I will purchase a stand alone policy in the UK To pick the car up at Beziers railway station on Monday and return it to the airport I was quoted 720 Euros . The cost of a taxi is a small price to pay . | |||

"Depends on what time the office closes, looking at the four main companies opening times they vary widely between each company and day-to-day so like the bus they probably time their hours to the flights. So if you are late but the office is still open (normal office hours) then there shouldn't be a problem. Definitely contact them because you could be charged a 'no-show' fee AND loss the hire if they close before you get there! Most companies will charge an out-of-hours fee if you run over into that time but obviously you have to let them know. " . Thank you . I have been back onto the Alamo website and closing times vary on a daily basis . Our flight lands at 18. 20 and the hire office closes at 18.45. It will be tight as we also have checked in baggage. Kelly will have to wait at the luggage carousel to collect baggage while I will go to the hire office . The office is closed on Monday morning and does not re open to 2 pm. I am going to phone the local office to clarify. In any event we will need a plan b in case the flight is delayed. | |||
