Bergerac, France

The south is a big place. It goes from Italy to Spain…!

If you give a bit more info on which area you’re interested in, people will give some suggestions.

in a word.. not so great, but what the hell you're there.. you've gotta pocket full of cash to blow.. and you will sure blow through some there.. but you will have a new experience, then the next time you go you won't be a newbie

Don't knock it.

We meet a single guy in Cap most years and he does exactly the same.

Campervan on the Oltra site and gets himself around the bars.

He's good fun, chatty, not a limpet.

Don't be like some single guys who sit glumly at the bar all night nursing a few beers.

You have to put in the effort, you will get lots of knock backs but some fun too.

You have to accept, it's not just single guys who are socialy inept and rude, plenty of couple are too.

Smile and move on.

That's what we do.

Thank you for your advice, i think i will just have to book a weekend on the camp site and go with a positive attitude. You know what they say, don't knock it until you have tried it
