Terre de Soleil and L'Extasia 2022

Bergerac, France

Hi all

Cap d'Agde is being covered on other threads, so we thought it a good idea to keep this thread for news about the 'Best Kept Secret' just up the road from Cap.

For those that aren't aware, Terre de Soleil is a naturist campsite with a difference.

Within the grounds is one of the biggest swingers clubs in Europe, L'Extasia.

The campsite is much, much smaller than Cap and is also Libertine. This means it is very intimate and swinger friendly with parties going on most evenings, which mainly involve inviting your neighbours over for apperos and whatever else develops..! If you prefer to stay on sites where there are very few rules about sexual freedom, this is the place to be.

The site is for couples and single females only, no single guys. But don't worry Ladies, there is plenty of choice for those just up the road at Cap..!

There are pitches for camping, caravans and motor homes. There are also some very nice mobile homes and even small tents for hire.

It's an adult only site, so no fear of youngsters peeping out from behind the curtains.

There is a disco at L'Extasia every night in July and August, so don't go expecting an early night with a book and some Horlicks...!

The site is well run, has a huge swimming pool and a bar serving lunch, the price last year was €30 per couple, which included wine and two sunbeds by the pool.

The pool area has been extended this year with even more sunbeds available.

There's a 12 person hot tub which is great for getting touchy feely with your new found friends and there's a foam party every Sunday afternoon in July and August.

But the best bit is the Petit Bois, or 'little forest'.

It's a secluded area just behind the bar and has outdoor play beds, together with some cabins for group fun. It gets quite busy after lunch when the sun and wine take effect.

This area is also available from the disco at night.

Also on site is La Palasia restaurant which is a cabaret type evening where you can pay a combined fee for a meal and entertainment. It's normally drag or burlesque, nothing extreme.

The campsite opens on 7th May but La Palasia and L'Extasia are open now, but not every night. You'd need to check the website for details, just Google 'Terre de Soleil'.

We have no connection with the site but we've been staying there for around 20 years so we can probably answer most questions you might have.

We'll be there all summer.

See you there....

Thanks for such an in depth review. Will make this a stop when we finally get touring Europe.

You never see this site featured or reviewed in with of the big Club magazine’s.

We try and fit a night out at L'Xtasia every time we go to Cap- mixes it up a bit and only 15 min down the road. Best to mention that if you go to the cabaret restaurant beforehand and eat- entry to the club is free! We've had some brilliant nights there and if you dont want to drive back you can hire 'cabanas' for the night which used to be about 50 euros a night. Just to put this place in to perspective- after Glamour in the village- this place is a close second for a night out in Cap.

Same here, great for a day out and very good value for this area.

Tend to go more often in high season when the Cap beaches are just too packed.

After chatting to the staff, it seems a lot of mobile homes are already booked through til September.

You should find space for camping without prior booking, but weekends in high season are always busy so best to book.

If you are staying onsite, you get free entry to L’Extasia Monday to Thursday and reduced rates at other times.

We’ll add more as the season progresses.

PS. Fantastic weather here at the moment if you can get away.

The price is per couple and includes sun beds by the pool and lunch with wine.

The Petit Bois is open all day.

Best to arrive before noon in high season.

And a quick reminder, it's for M/F couples and single ladies only.

See you there...

From the naturist village, do you know what is the best way to get there, by taxi? If so what is the best way to go about it, pre-book (if possible) or is it easy to find one?

It’s about a 10 min drive through to the other side of Marseillan. If you were brave you could cycle it- quite flat, taxi or try and find a ride share.

If it’s a daytime visit, a taxi is probably easiest unless you can car share. The staff here will call you a taxi for the return.

Evening visits are tricky. Getting here should be ok but getting one for the late night return is not easy.

We cycle to Cap regularly but a word of warning.

DON’T attempt the D51, it’s far too dangerous.

There’s a cycle route through the vineyards, pm us if you want details.

Many thanks for the very useful reply though would anyone cycle at night? lol

Been before so know where it is. Taxi seems the only viable way for now though we are visiting the Cap with friends so should work out a decent price.

Ha..!!

No, would never advise anyone to cycle here at night. Or anywhere else in France to be honest..!

But we often cycle to Cap daytime, just make sure you leave in plenty of time to get home.

After a long day in the beach you’ll be glad to see your bed, for the normal reasons....

Thanks for your post. We'll be at the cap from the 25th for two weeks and were wondering whether there was camping at L'Extasia, where we've never been but have long wondered about. We are staying at Jardin d' Eden but will be in our campervan so might pop up to Terre de Soleil for a night or two.

We've really missed our trips to CdA the last two years ago. (We have no pics on our profile for good reasons, mainly that we have been the victims of our pics being misused).

They only take bookings for a minimum number of nights, I think it's 7 but I will confirm.

July and early August are the busiest times so if you just rock up, you might not get the best pitches.

Although none of them are bad, some are better than others...!

Yeah we booked a one nighter last time we stayed (adding another while there) but for one night we can cope with a pitch anywhere, happy to sleep in the club car park if we had to, saves the walk back through the woods… although that’s the fun part

Time for a quick update…

L’Extasia is now open every night, it was very busy last night.

Le Palaisia is open every night except Monday and Tuesday.

The campsite is filling up nicely from yesterday.

The Petit Bois is always busy of course..!

There is a free foam party every Sunday afternoon from around 15h30

Lunch at the pool bar is still €40 per couple including wine and two sun beds by the pool.

What are you waiting for…?

We guess you're planning on a day trip.

The day visit prices are per couple, as single guys aren't admitted and not many ladies visit alone. I'll enquire and get back to you asap.

Because it's all couples here, it's an extremely safe place for single ladies, Becky has often been here alone while I've been whizzing off somewhere else.

Hi. You can only book sunbeds and lunch when you arrive, no phone or internet bookings are taken.

If you can arrive mid morning, you stand the best chance.

Last Sunday was manic, staff working their socks off. Well, if they had any in the first place..!

Foam starts around 3.30 - 4pm.

We followed your advice and went for a daytrip to Terre de Soleil. It's the first time we've done that and we'll definitely do it again.

For anyone else like us who hasn't tried it : The daytime price is 40€ for a couple, this includes parking, two sunbeds, use of the pool and jacuzzi and a meal with wine. Oh, nearly forgot, you also have the outdoor play area at Extasia too but when we went there was just a couple asleep on one of the beds..

If you've been on the beach at Cap you'll know it's quite dificult to talk to people but here in the pool, at the restaurant and on the sunbeds it was really easy. We spoke to at least 8 couples and could have easily have gone further but we already had a date and had to get back to Cap.

Saturday is our last day in the south so we're planning to return to Terre de Soleil rather than face a day of traffic jams, before heading home in the evening.

We did, enormously.

Would recommend to others who fancy arranging a group to consider taking deposits beforehand to cover the taxis when someone pulls out at the last minute, as has happened to us more than once now. (Palaisia don't seem to mind last minute cancellations)

This is the last weekend for Terre de Soleil, although L’Extasia is open every Saturday until NYE.

It’s been a blast this year and we’ve met lots of great couples, some regular and some first timers.

The weather has been extremely hot, like the rest of Europe and we’re exhausted…!

We’re now off travelling for the winter but we’ll be back in April ready for another few months of paradise.

If you’re thinking of trying somewhere different for your holiday next summer we’ll be pleased to see you.

Always plenty of good rosé in the fridge for when you arrive….

See you there…!!
