Cricky, Macron has not given us much time to get a third jab before we are barred from public places such as restaurants and bars. If not done by 15th December we are social outcasts again. Merry Christmas Macron!

As far as I can see the booster jab does not show on the NHS app and therefore won't be available for the French AntiCovid app like the first 2 jabs were

I’m sure that a hard copy will suffice when needed.

That's not very good although there will be a record of it (there has to be) so surely you could ask for a hard copy.

I hope that here in France they add it to the TousAntiCovid app...

In France when you get your booster they give you two pieces of paper confirming you’re 3 of 3 and one has a QR code for scanning

If you crazy kids are ever in our area and you are passing a restaurant we are in chowing down in then do make sure to knock on the window so we can wave!!!!

To be fair not going to bars and restaurants is no biggie and we don’t go to them on a daily basis and not being jabbed is personal choice which of course is fine but we strangely enough feel safer eating out following the rules and much safer than when we were in the UK.

It's a strange thing about the jabs.

The Gov. has to convince the un-jabbed that they work so they will get jabbed.

The Gov. also then has to convince the double jabbed that the jab has stopped working so that they will get a booster.

Catch 22

But the thing is it's NOT a personal choice when the government is forcing them on the people, that's why everyone has to wake up to what's going on. They said the first jab will protect everyone.... then oh sorry you need a second jab to protect you.... ooops your coved passport is now not valid unles you have the third jab! So basically the jabs do bugger all. Please wake up

Why not just get it done and stop moaning about it. Rather be jabbed and be safer than run the risk of dying a terrible death. If it needs a jab on a yearly basis then so be it.

Alas we find the vaccine a bit moorish and anti vaxxers a bit borish but that’s just us and honestly I tend to follow the advice of my medical specialist and not the government.

Personally I fully understand your stance apart from the “wake up”” bit but disagree about choice as no one as far as I know is being held down and jabbed.

I’m just glad that people don’t have to walk in front of cars with flags anymore.

Your body your choice _hecco bless you.

Just pointing out the fact that the first 3 jabs hasn't stopped the spread of covid nor will the next 10. It's a virus and a various mutates to survive until there is heard immunity. Introducing a MRNA compound into your body to trick your natural defences will only have a detrimental effect in the future when something else comes along. Already they are saying the Johnsons dose is now not good enough and you have to have a Pfizer jab or your 'covid passport' will be invalid, people are still catching, passing it on and dying of covid even though they are double or triple jabbed so it only come down to the control the governments are enforcing on us.

From a totally personal point of view:-

Two weeks ago I had an injection into my right eye and I have no idea of what was in that jab.

Three weeks ago I started a new weekly injection that aids my insulin use and again I have no clue what’s in it but it works.

I continue to inject insulin.

Basically I take my advice from my medical specialists and not the government and certainly not from some person on a swinging forum because I’m strange like that.

You do you and all power to you but let other people do them selfs and stop trying to save the world because in my humble opinion you’re not!!!!

Very good point. Or just crow bar people over the head with loss of movement, travel, shopping, entertainment until they submit

Blois, France

All of us on this site are non-conformists, we don't adhere to the rule that says we should only have one partner because its more fun not to. We should however be careful not to apply that to every situation - its a good idea for example to drive on the correct side of the road, being a non-conformist might cause an accident.

The president announced this week that due to our advanced age, we'll soon be able to claim our free 3rd dose which will reduce our chance of catching covid or at least reduce its severity. It'll also allow us to continue going out and meeting wonderful people in nightclubs who've also been vaccinated - so we're happy to be vaccinated non-conformists !

Works though, dunnit (rather than "You should but if you can't you don't have to; but you absolutely must unless you feel you mustn't; we advise you to but you don't have to take our advice")?

Since we both DO want to move, travel, shop and enjoy entertainment, we went on "Doctolib" this morning and booked appointments in Grimaud (about 25 minutes away) for 12:00 and 12:10 tomorrorow.

I've just read "Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Johnson was asked if and when the booster would be added to the current Covid Travel Pass ... Johnson did not give a date but said: “I think we will be making plans to add the booster dose to the NHS Covid Travel Pass.""

Sounds too woolly for me to make plans to head to France for Christmas

We had our third Jab on Monday received a 2nd card showing the type of jab and date. We were told that the NHS app is being updated with the details but currently there is a glitch

Followed this thread with interest just like to add.

The Jabs were not said to cure, or eliminate the virus merely reduce the effects for the majority of those Jabbed. Interestingly the same as any flue Jab they need to be regularly up dated due to mutation of the virus.

Figures prove the the ratio of hospital admissions and deaths pro-rata (e.g. per 1000 people jabbed v non jabbed) for jabbed individuals have lowered. The admissions and deaths for non jabbed pro-rata have raised.

Speaking as a fully jabbed individual who caught the virus as a diabetic and a pace maker user I strongly doubt I would have been here had I been un jabbed. ( that I know is conjecture)

Its rather like going into a war zone flap jacket and helmet or just a white string vest? The latter looks good in the movies but the former is what the professional wears. However the difference is pretty well proven and not just one of personal choice but one of individual group responsibility if our health systems are overwhelmed then other people pay the price of our mutual choices. Every action has an equal or greater reaction.

That's good, I already had a paper copy of the pass showing both jabs, then when I had the booster I dud the app and it's still not showing my booster! Might have to chase that up.
