Europe

Hi Fabbers, I am travelling around France this summer so feel free to reach out if you would like to say hi (Socially distant or intimately).

Currently in Grenoble, spending a week in St Tropez the end of the month, then August I will be based in Menton.

Happy Fabbing

Côte d'Azur & Great Yarmouth

We’re only about 20km from St Tropez, don’t know where we’ll be at the end of the month (if WX favourable we’ll be on the Canal du Midi) but keep in touch.

Hope travel/COVID testing etc. not too much hassle xx

Southport

We're meant to be in the Pyrenees in July for the TdF but so far France isn't on the green list for travel. No idea what the forecast is regarding French cases dropping and the UK adding France to the green list.

I think once France starts to lift and ease the restrictions from the 19th it will be added to Green Lists like it happened to Italy a few days ago.

Still it’s difficult to plan or get too excited for things just yet

Restrictions within France are to ease from the 19th so I would expect the following week after that the lists for travel with change

"France announced that tourists will be able to have free Covid tests when they visit this summer."

That's really good news.

I hope that the UK does the same!

I had a message from one of this group that it wasn’t true but it is on the online newspaper Sud-Ouest that was shown on Facebook.

In the south this week and people are very chilled, not many wearing face masks, not much social distance on the beach etc

What are the chances of being able to cycle through France in August? Are the numbers going in the right direction?

Lots of politicians and advisors have holiday homes in France so I suspect that travel restrictions will ease with the summer parliamentary recess. As it did last year!

Brittany, Dept 22 France & Colchester

France allows anyone to visit who is fully vaccinated (at least 2 weeks post second jab) & the curfew ends on 20th June. No more outdoor mask wearing from the same date. COVID-19 cases are half what they are in the UK & everyone from age 12 upwards can book a vaccination. France is releasing lockdown quicker than the UK.
