Carnforth

Hi all, thinking about planning a bubble event in the mountains over the holidays. Would anyone be interested? Based near bourg saint Maurice but can hire a gîte in Beaufortain for a very reasonable price.

Think ski touring and partying in like minded company...

"What are the current Covid rules in France ?"

On 15th Dec the lockdown ends and from then until 20th Jan the whole country has to comply with a curfew from 8pm to 6am. Some exceptions to allow you out during curfew but you need to carry an attestation form. Curfew is lifted for 24th Dec but not 31st. All bars, restaurants, cinemas etc are closed fully until 20th Jan. After 15th Dec free movement between the departments and out or into france are allowed again. At the moment ski stations are staying closed until sometime in Jan.

The wording here is odd, they say you should keep it to 6 but as far as I can see there is no binding rule that says you cannot have more. Seem to be leaving it up to people's conscience and public spirtness.

It's maximum 6 but anyway it"s forbidden till now to check houses and verify it (They might do that in Belgium)

Curfew at 8 pm is harsh

I am fed up with that , hope it"s ended by february

Côte d'Azur & Great Yarmouth

All I know is that we’re flying to the UK from Nice on the 18th, reasonable price too, British Airways with a bit of extra luggage, 234 euro return for the both of us. But will DEFINITELY be back on the 31st, apart from possible border problems, the UK becomes Third World - sorry, Third Country - from 1 January and as far as I know isn’t yet on the list of Third Countries from which one can enter France due to COVID.

Gonna be a shitty New Year’s Eve though, we’ve brought our boat down to the Canal du Midi and plenty of opportunities to meet in the Cap/Béziers/Narbonne region, but nothing near where we are, currently in confinement in our gaff near St Tropez.

Cap d’Agde, France

Always think that 6 is a bad number, twosomes, four or more somes but not a threesome, we always avoid this number in soirées.

Still, if its the law over Christmas then we have no choice but to put up with it!
