"A lot of brits we have met this year are using AirBNB. Whatever that is!" Apparently it’s much cheaper than the agencies, for the same apartment.

"We have never been before and unsure how it all works, we are looking to go in two weeks time for 4 days, can any one recommend any good places to stay? " I think "best place to stay" is actually the wrong question. Most (if not all) of the apartments are privately owned and let through agents. So you can quite easily get a situation where one apartment in say Port Nature is absolutely wonderful but the place next door is a shit tip that hasn't been updated since the 70's. Trust us, we've had both. There are the two swinger complexes (Jardines Eden and Babylon) and the hotels Eve and Ozz Inn which are more reliable but eye wateringly expensive. Other than that it's the camp site. For the apartments we have mostly used Peng France and have always been happy with the apartment. In the early days we used a different one but have not used them for a good few years. Enough said.

" It’s also worth noting that with the unique situation this year that there are a lot of empty apartments in the village. The price that Peng lists on the website is negotiable. We paid the full price for an apartment for a week but this was settled in advance of the trip and prior to Covid being what it’s known to be now. However to extend the trip and stay in the same apartment an extra 4 nights we were able to speak to the agency and get €400 knocked of the price.
