Hopefully this answers your questions. The best agencies to use for the village are Peng France or Anne and David James agency. Both have a selection of apartments. The Peng website is the easiest to use. We’ve been going for 8 years and having just returned I would say the only noticeable difference is that the clubs are closed and you need a face mask in shops. Other than that it was great. If the Covid situation in France doesn’t get worse, you should go.

Forgot to mention. Try and get an apartment that has a view of the sea. Block AB in Heliopolis is nice

Apparently it’s much cheaper than the agencies, for the same apartment.

Agency Resid or AGN speak good English and rent out studios and apartments. Both have websites.

Cambridge and Cap d Agde ( various weeks 2021 )

If you are booking accommodation using any of the booking platforms , check carefully that the accommodation is actually inside the gate and not in Cap d Agde itself. Acommodaion inside the gate will be in one of the following areas . Port Venus , Port Soleil , Port Ambonne, Port Nature and Heliopolos . All the fun in Cap comes at a price and accommodstion is expensive. Good luck in your search. It may also be worth checking booking dot com.

Good quality accommodation tends to be booked a long time in advance by regular customers. If accommodation is vacant during the peak season it may be worth investigating why. Prior to booking it would be wise to check up to date pictures of the accommodstion and also its rating on the booking platform concerned .

Costa Blanca Spain...

I think "best place to stay" is actually the wrong question.

Most (if not all) of the apartments are privately owned and let through agents. So you can quite easily get a situation where one apartment in say Port Nature is absolutely wonderful but the place next door is a shit tip that hasn't been updated since the 70's. Trust us, we've had both.

There are the two swinger complexes (Jardines Eden and Babylon) and the hotels Eve and Ozz Inn which are more reliable but eye wateringly expensive. Other than that it's the camp site.

For the apartments we have mostly used Peng France and have always been happy with the apartment. In the early days we used a different one but have not used them for a good few years. Enough said.

There’s a block of apartments right outside the village entrance called Eureka apartments. Airbnb have some of them in there going for 600 a week compared to north of a 1000 for something inside the village. And the AirBnB is twice as big too.

With my post it depends on what you are looking for btw. There are definite pros and cons of staying in and out of the village.

Tonbridge

I've stayed a Natureva Spa hotel which is reasonably priced and has nice rooms. I think he room had a kitchen from memory. Booked through Expedia.

It’s also worth noting that with the unique situation this year that there are a lot of empty apartments in the village. The price that Peng lists on the website is negotiable. We paid the full price for an apartment for a week but this was settled in advance of the trip and prior to Covid being what it’s known to be now. However to extend the trip and stay in the same apartment an extra 4 nights we were able to speak to the agency and get €400 knocked of the price.
