messages deleted

i logged on this morning and all my read messages bar one have disappeared also most of my sent messages have gone but any over 6 weeks old are still there.... has there been an issue with software.. and NO i havent deleted them.

Maybe the other profile/s have left the site. All messages disappear when they delete their profile.
