Photo attachments in messages

Noticed when attaching a photo to messages we no longer have the choice to chose between our public and private albums.... now all of our photos are in one long list so can be difficult to search through to find private pics? Is this a glitch or new to stay

I noticed this but there is a “favourites” you can switch to instead and that gives me the ones I send most often at the top.

Yeah we found that bit which is handy but still a little frustrating
