A friend of mine has been messaging me direct from my profile, but I am not receiving them.

When he has checked 'sent messages' the profile is a man in Toronto...

He can reply to my message though, is there a problem? I have told him to report, as I might be missing out lol

Sorry, that last bit is a bit tounge in cheek but the problem is real.

Is he using a phone to send messages as I had a huge problem yesterday and had to clear cache to sort it.

Yes, he was using the new phone app, think there may be problems.

Get him to clear history cache and cookies after logging out it should be ok then.
