The options listed above might be fine just now (although I would argue that installing a whole new browser to get a feature to work is not actually fine) but one would anticipate that it will become increasingly more difficult to use flash based sites as time goes on. At some point it will cross over the threshold where most people aren't willing to go to the lengths it takes to get it to run. Or, just maybe, some people are security conscious enough not to want to run old, deprecated technologies where the security holes aren't being patched (it might happen ).

It would be comforting to know that there's a plan for that day. Or even a vague sense that something should be done.

Yes a long term plan would be a better answer, unfortunately I'm not aware of one that currently exists. I've offered the above solutions as I know they are currently working and are effective ones. At least they are solutions for the OP.

Fab often doesn't give loads of advance notice when it's working on site upgrade options and I don't think they've stated what will happen after Flash is discontinued. It could offer competitors an unfair advantage as well as disappoint or confuse people, if plans change etc, so that may be behind their thinking - apart from being busy with running fab.

HTML5 may be an option, though someone posted in another thread that browser implementation of that standard has been mixed, so could be fine at the providers end but possible phone browser displays might be patchy.

Thankfully Adobe who own Flash, gave a bit of notice that they were ending it, so that businesses using it could prepare and replace their offering to a different option.

Thanks for that. As I am not a computer expert I think that fabswingers has a duty to its customers to sort something out well before the end of the year!

That would be nice. I am sure there are plenty of others thinking the same

cheers
