I think a night/dark mode feature would be a good addition. Would be much easier on the eyes lol

I'm not terribly technically minded but wouldn't that be a feature of the device you're using rather than the site you're browsing?

Browsers can put it in as a general feature across all sites but most of the main browsers on mobile don't have a dark/night mode/it doesnt look good so it would be a lot easier for individual sites to do one.

Just turn the backlight on your device down easy peasy

I installed the chrome addon stylebot to do this to sites and more if you do this, paste the following css in to it for dark mode for this site - it only took a few mins to do.

div.content1-container div {

background-color: #000000;

}

div.content1-container table {

background-color: #000000;

}

td.homeButtonsNew {

background-color: #3d3d3d;

color: #f0f0f0;

}

div.content1-container div img {

width: 2px;

}

div.content1-container.line-box {

background-color: #000000;

}

td p b {

color: #ffffff;

}

tr td div {

color: #ffffff;

}

tbody tr td {

color: #ffffff;

border-color: #404040;

border-top-width: 1px;

border-left-width: 0;

border-right-width: 0;

border-bottom-width: 0;

border-style: solid;

background-color: #000000;

}

td div span {

color: #696969;

}

div.content1-container-2col-left {

color: #f7f7f7;

}

div.content1-container-2col-right h2 {

color: #ffffff;

}

div.content1-container-1col h2 {

color: #ffffff;

}

div.content1-container-1col {

color: #ffffff;

}

div.content1-container.line-box h2 {

color: #ffffff;

}

#fixedDiv table {

color: #ffffff;

border-color: #ffffff;

background-color: #3b3b3b;

}

My Note 8 has a night mode in the quick settings. Turns the screen black with white writing. If android has it I'd imagine apple would have a similar feature.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

"Browsers can put it in as a general feature across all sites but most of the main browsers on mobile don't have a dark/night mode/it doesnt look good so it would be a lot easier for individual sites to do one."

If it doesn't look good, why do you want it?

I'd have thought it was easier to find a browser that did it instead of having to go to some setting on dozens of websites, and/or persuading a bunch of site admins to do something.

But then I naturally prefer reading black on white, possibly due to the lack of books printed in white ink on black paper when I was growing up...

There are some browsers that have a night mode but the browsers vary in quality. I use chrome on my phone and i find its the best/fastest to use, but they dont have a night/dark mode yet so was just suggesting it as a feature lol
