A bit dumb?

Does anyone else find it a bit dumb that you need to be a site supporter to see who’s viewed you...but all users have the option to hide their profile on the “who’s looked at me” page? Meaning you don’t really see who’s viewed you?

Surely if we’re site supporters we should get a bit more privilege in terms of the site and operating around it

I hide my views because I used to be hassled for looking at profiles, as if it means I'm definitely interested.

No, not dumb at all. Its £5 for silver. Hardly breaking the bank is it? Why should the site give people everything for free? It's the best and cheapest swingers site I've been on.

You see the people that want you to know they've looked.

You also get other advantages from being a supporter such as message trails and the ability to upload more photos.

You have posted in the right place for admin to see your suggestion though

missing the point entirely, I’ve not said give everything for free but like anything in life if you’ve paid for a premium no matter how big or small that should come with useful benefits

Don’t necessarily disagree but if that is the policy fab is using, why not just make it free to see whose looked at your profile? They are using it as a selling point when it’s half baked

To be honest, I find the whole 'who looked at me' page unnecessary. As what is the point of knowing who looked at you if they weren't interested enough to leave message/wink? Probably just the number should be enough.

I think if you have a hidden profile then you shouldn't be able to view others. It's not fair that they can look at me and I cant at them

Because some people don't want you to know they've looked at your profile for fear of being pestered because they have done so.

Most people can't message me because of my filters but using the who looked at me, I can choose to message them much like folks that block messages from single men but look for them themselves! It's a good feature, no-one has to look at it!

But is this not removed by allowing people to stalk and view you without one knowing who? Sounds an oxymoron argument, right to privacy but we'll allow people to view you secretly.

It's private as you don't know who is viewing you, so you can pretend no one is looking but they really are.

Personally no one should be allowed to view you incognito, its another way fab facilitates stalkers and abusive or jealous people. Much like the new facility of removing all evidence of malicious messages when someone one deletes their profile. No way of reporting them anymore as evidence is gone. They can return and start again without complaint.

Have to completely agree with you on this.

I do think admin need to rethink this and maybe have another way of preventing pestering messages from guys to ladies who view them.

Simple one is to only allow a single message unless one gets a reply. This would also deal with repeat abusive messages too.

Or if you view a profile and you're not interested then a simple button that prevents them from responding until lifted.

This would allow one to see who views you. It's not always about replying but good to know who your profile is attracting and maybe then reword, change photos etc to see if it targets better those one is personally interested in too.

We don't show simply because we got sick of people messaging us asking why we didn't leave a message after viewing their profile...get the hint..we are not interested... So it was much easier to go incognito.

I think they should just scrap the whose viewed me option completely. Let everyone go incognito automatically and if anyone is interested then they can make contact.

It's one along with a couple other features which only clauses issues for both the viewers and the viewee. There's much better ideas to improve the site experience that have been suggested over the years too.

I think it only causes issues if people make issues out of it. I like seeing who's looking. I see patterns. I store it in the back of my mind and do nothing more with it. It also exposes me to more people than I might otherwise see.

So your fiver should trump other users preference for privacy? I don’t care if you pay £50, you shouldn’t have the right to override another users right to privacy. What next - gold members should have the right to contact people regardless of their contact preferences?

There have been suggestions that there be ability to break message filters...

The search function stops working when the numbers get too big. And people who find me may not be within the parameters I search for.

We have, on occasion, had repeated views from members, but no interest.

We contact them, state we have seen them view us a few times, and ask if interested. Some people say they are shy, lol. Agree with the point, though.

Maybe a feature could be incorporated, whereby if viewing in ‘stealth’ mode, you cannot contact the people you viewed?

This is meant to be a site for like-minded individuals. So if you don’t want others to see you lurking, why should you be able to see them.

Because I don't want to be hassled by idiots who think that me accidentally bumping my finger wrong, landing on their profile, means they'll be balls deep in me in the hour?
