If you put your home town as Shrewsbury

where it asks you for your postcode put TF1

it will put you under midlands instead of Wales

I'm glad Shrewsbury is classed as over the border else my searches would be confined to mid Wales which would make life very dull lol. I think its something to do with there being alot of SY postcodes in Powys.

I would love to know what or how location/distance is decided on many social sites, we all have noticed that it's not right.

I remember a TV prog, Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones. He was paddling through Shrewsbury in a boat and asked people how did they pronounce the towns name, locals called it 'Shusbury', and non local English called it 'shrowsbury'

Correctamundo. An old bi-law apparently.

Don't expect the defence of such would mean getting away with it mind.
