How about a way to quickly respond to a members status update? Even if just a way to fab it so they know you agree or are interested etc. Sometimes that would work as an ice breaker or simply to just show you're on the same page as someone.

Sometimes a nod in someones direction can say more than a message.

Just wink them then, isn’t that what winks are for?

Sometimes you may have already winked and messaged someone, then they write a status and you just want to give them a nudge to remind them.

I wouldn't like that.

I think it's a good idea, if to at least be able to 'fab' it

Fab would be all it needs in my opinion. A space to comment would most likely be too much and get abused.

Exactly this. Shame there seems to be such snobbery attached to winking though.

To me sending a wink is an icebreaker but I’ve lost count of the amount of profiles that state they ignore winks

If someone was interested in you they would reply to your message or wink.. nudging them with a "fab" would get you blocked

If they block you great! saves you nudging/winking/messaging a brick wall.

Always good to know where you stand in life.

I usually only respond to status updates if people seem to having a shit day.

If they're having a blast I assume they will be flooded.
