Totally agree with you both as it is now getting ridiculous and needs addressed , but if it got addressed the site would lose members and probably money so I can never ever see it happening , it never used to be as bad as it has been in the last few years but I guess that's what happens when the site starts getting spread across social media like FB it starts to lose its purpose and then becomes a free dating site with the chance to enhance your pleasure by paying a minimal fee

As you know naming and shamin is against site rules.

Report any profile you think is fake e.g. a guy posing as a woman or a couple or someone using pictures that aren't theirs.

Other strategies you can use to help prevent your time being wasted are meet socially, have a brief phone call or video chat ensure that they're verified. You can also use message filters to stop unverified profiles, those with no public pictures and new profiles from contacting you.

It can be difficult spotting and proving who is the fake.

An example and true story.....

We'd been chatting for a few weeks regarding a meet, all aware that the actual date may be last minute plans.

Anyway, they wanted to chat via phone on that day, it was difficult for us because one had kids and family around, and the other was traveling via public transport for around six hours.

This was explained and mentioned we can chat later.

They suddenly went quiet.

We arranged to meet another the same night, again one we'd chatted with for a while.

So, who was the fake?

Us because we couldn't chat via phone at that time

Them for going quiet on us?.

Or the time I arranged with a friend to meet a third party. All meet verified. Friend and I were at the agreed spot at the agreed time. Third party starts saying, oh he's late, oh he forgot condoms, does this chick really exist? And started demanding things of me. He was a fair way away according to Fab, and we waited for at least half an hour after the alloted time. It ended with a blocking.

That story could be easily spun by the third guy to make me look like a fake and time waster.
