Only time discrepancy

Does anyone else notice a discrepancy regarding only e times between search, profile, looked at me, friends list etc? Sometimes it'll say someone is online but I go to their profile and it says online 10 minutes ago.

Is this a glitch?

Yes, and sometimes I can chat to someone in chat, and the next day it will say they haven't been on for two days.
