I have had exactly the same problem since I changed my email address about a week or so ago, I thought it was just me, cheers.

Unfortunately although notifications are being sent in a timely fashion, some mail providers (particularly yahoo, hotmail) treat a %age of our mails as spam and don't deliver them.

Only suggestion is to use another mail provider, gmail usually works OK

Should also add:

If you're using hotmail be aware that they are a hotbed of hackers. We see loads of compromised hotmail accounts, far larger as a %age of those users than any other email provider. Our advice is to use anyone but hotmail for your email.

To be honest, whilst I think hotmail may be a big problem, I also think msn is another as I have removed my profile from Windows Live (not sure if I am allowed to post this?) due to hackers (one even changed my name on my profile!!) and I used my blueyonder addy to register as I do with most registrations

This is true, MSN messenger/live is full of holes and the chances are if you use it someone will hack your account.

I use g-mail and just now some notifications are going to my in box, but most are going to my spam.

Thinking it is just some glitch in the system just now.

Your right about hotmail I recently had to close my account down and open another with a slightly different email address, the problem started when a good friend picked up a virus and via his contact list I was sent a link , on the spur of the moment I tried the link, nothing happened, later that night I had a series of bounced email notifications , obviously all those in my contact list that were no longer in use, my contact list had been hacked, AVG found and sorted it , but hotmail suspended my account for sending spam lol, the lesson learnt, never click on an unknown link.
