Photo verification

We love this site and have made so many new friends because of it. Today we have taken the step to block people who are not at least photo verified. This is something that we have never wanted to do.

When we first joined we had so many people offering us help and advice even before we were verified. This is something we have tried to do in return to those that are starting out taking their first daunting steps into the swinging lifestyle.

We seem to be getting more and more newish profiles messaging us out of the blue that are so obviously not a couple or a single female.

Why is it not compulsory to be photo verified when joining ? If not that then make it so that photo verified or verified by meeting are two separate message filters.

Yes photos can be faked but it will drastically cut down on the fakers who join this site every day.

In a perfect world it would happen.

But as fabs rely on members joining, it would drastically reduce if " verification" became the standard.

As the old saying goes " the best looking females on the net are men"

Too many fake cpls, cpls who joined as cpls but now single males and males pretending to be females. Why? Feck knows!

If you suspect the profile is not as it seems, report it and hopefully admin will do something about it.

It could possibly scare genuine people from joining too.

When i rejoined i had to photo verify myself before i could access the site so i think it is a feature now

Boston and Higham Ferrers

We have had so many people msg us and send us a pic. We start chatting asking for a face pic. This never comes.

We have chatted via Watts app asked to hear there voice and get a copied voice msg. This week 3 profiles in our area all different ages all single female all the same name and exactly the same discription??? There needs to be something in place for the protection of legit members who don't want there identity plastered everywhere. Newbues shouldn't be able to see photos unless they have been photo verified. Some people on here have high powered jobs etc and keeping our profiles private to Joe public is a must. If someone us genuine why would they worry about being photo verified we didn't mind doing it when we joined

For every genuine cpl or female that join there must be thousands of fakes.

Another profile said about their whatsapp given out. Why give your number out if unsure?

Make up a KIK exchange kicks then videocall if not the person on show then block and report

If they are not willing to video all then get them to.... well you know

This was clearly aimed at new members and we did say it would reduce the fakers and not stop them. It would require them to put more effort in and dissuade the ones that can’t be arsed of which we believe would be the majority.

Neither were we looking for advice on working out who is fake or not as it’s so obvious who is and who isn’t. It just frustrates us having to block everyone that isn’t verified to stop receiving messages from the fakers

I've had my profile picture taken and used on a single male profile so that was a fake !

Yes I get this but new members do tons of things wrong, its a learning experience.

I'm usually in the scots chat room and most use it for chatting, general chat and don't really use it to watch cams or look for meets etc.. but every evening there's always a few idiots who come in to try and direct of make condescending remarks too women, so that's frustration for us in there but some of the people who do it are newbies who don't know any better but some are experienced don't really care.

If fab wanted anyone who joins to be photo verified they would soon see they would have less members joining and if a fake is joining, trust me, nearly every fake will get by the photo verification, why? because they want to.

I don't like it as it proves nothing but this is my view ONLY from my 11 year experience.

Just one question ... if they had to be verified would they have been able to use your pics ?

This forum is to make suggestions to help improve the site yet most of the responses to all posts on here poo poo all the suggestions rather than promote and support change.

Well I can easily photoshop a picture to have a fab photo verification imagine and make it look natural as if the person in the picture is holding it.

Its easy to do and tone it in a way to make it look like part of the image.

I'm not negative at change, I'm all for it, if it works and clearly, my view I don't think it will work, its easy for fakes to bypass.

I have to admit I think its brill when people come out with ideas and others come in with the pros and cons. When you see both pros and cons then its easier to work on change.

I do it for all my websites that I design and my clients and their users come up with good ideas

lol, I have given you a couple of reason, and the main one is, if everyone is photo verified, and they just cant make only newbies photo verified, so it means many people would leave the site and many would not bother joining, thus fabswingers would, lose plenty or business.

A fake is someone who will go to lengths further to get what they want.

Infact manipulating an image can be easily learned in just 20 minutes.

You have made a good post and I and others have given reasons why not. In order for something to work you have to understand the why nots so that they can be sorted or changed to fit in .

I hope your not thinking I'm trying to make it personal, that is the last thing would do, you have made points, I and a few others have given reasons why not, of which I have elaborated in detail and some have said great idea

good businesses and good websites look at all the pros and cons and deal with them accordingly to get the best out of their business and website thus growing bigger so from my point of view, the more great ideas to improve any website is the best thing, good or bad.

For a scenario, a friend of mine was on this site and met a few people. Don't know the full details but she rejected a guy and a few days later had loads of people coming to her place of work saying they recognised her, had a great time speaking last night etc etc

She unfortunately had been fired but easily avoidable, had these fake profiles of her been photo verified before they could message!

I don't get it, she can't be sacked from her job because a fake photo of her is on a swingers profile FACT. I know your prob not saying she did, (scenario), but yeah in certain jobs you could lose for being a swinger.

Do you think these fake pictures are taken from just fab photos, no they are not and as I stated previously it's easy to make a fab photo verified fake picture, easy to do and whose prepared to go to these further lengths, not us who are genuine but the people who make the fake profiles up for whatever reason.

Again if fabswingers ever decide to go down this route they will lose a lot of customers and money and they will still have tons of fake profiles joining.

Don't think they want to go down that route

She should have got the police involved, because whoever.uploaded those pictures are breaking the "revenge porn law".

Maybe about time any person sees pictures or videos they have not agreed to be seen,takes action.

Think" fake couples" may think twice about uploading pics of their unknowing partner,if they get the jail

Totally understand where you are coming from on this subject. Far too many fake profiles and idiots. Should be mandatory to get photo verification within 24-48 hours

Admin have said they won't be making PV compulsory for all. If you use your mail filters and block non verified the site will work for you how you want it to.

To the issue of PV's, they are double checked by an Admin after they have been approved / rejected so if a dodgy one was approved it would be picked up and rejected not long after and the profile disabled.
