Could the number of 'views today' accurately reflect all views of a profile? Users could still keep their details hidden if they want but at least it'd be a more accurate reflection of the total number of views.

Does it matter? Do you have a number you aim for? Or a number you think would improve your chances? Very curious as to whether people actually bother about this or not

What would be the benefit of this?

Effectively your interest quotient

(number of messages / number of views)

would get worse. Or stay at zero, but be more statistically accurate.

Sounds awfully masochistic to me...
