Not Blocked but can’t view profile

Hi,

I see from searching that some users have had a bug where they’re not blocked but cannot view a profile. I have spoken to ‘bihimbiher’ and they tell me I’m not blocked. I was even in their hotlist. But I cannot see them. Any chance Admin could check??? Thank you x

The chances are that Admin have blocked their profile for a reason.

There was a glitch a few weeks ago that was blocking profiles, due to the message content when the filters were too stringent.

Could have been caught up in that malarkey.

Bump.. People are messaging me but when you goto reply or click profiles they are blocked and you can't block back. I've had 3 just now.

Why not?


"On the desktop version you can click on the profile and you'll see the "You can't view this profile" message.

Go to the blue menu on the left of the page and you still have the "Report User" and "Block User" buttons.

On the mobile version you can click on the profile and you'll see the "You can't view this profile" message.

Top right of the page, you'll see the Menu button, click that and you still have the "Report User" and "Block User" buttons."

Done this all, even typed name in manually on desktop version (usually it adds to it if not working on mobile version and it's not)

It may be the message content, especially if it was their first message to you.

Ah ok, I am puzzled lol.. it was I guess normalish? one was just being a bit rude about my profile :/ but he'd attached pictures so didn't strike me that he'd instantly block.

If that stops people being rude or abusive in a message that helps.

Yep, this is what happened to us, we were sending out messages regarding an event we were organising and we were informing people that there would be no actual cost involved but they were welcome to make a contribution to food and drinks that we were laying on. The filters were too tight and because money was mentioned it did the auto-blocks thing.

I'm willing to bet it was the message content in your case too, even if it was innocent

Ah I see, It must be new. I just came back after a break but I can't ever remember it happening previously.

One was a bit insulting so I would of blocked anyway and the other was a man I am constantly blocking as he makes new accounts to message me and be inappropriate so it looks like it.

Saves me time lol, handy if you're a couple or fem and getting stupid messages from men.

If the user has set who they want to meet, you may not fit their criteria and therefore can't message them. Saves me getting messages from smokers, newbies etc.

If I add somebody to my block list do they get notified or anything of me blocking them?

Also if they were to search me after I block them my profile wouldn't appear? Right?

No they cannot see your profile if you have blocked them.
