Age Preferences

Turning 41 has been a real bummer for me as so many ladies have their age preference set at 40.....

There are users on here that might have been here for 5 years and more, and I image most people set their age preferences when they first join and never think to change them but if you could set your age preference to say: 10 years YOUNGER than Me to 10 years OLDER than Me they would change as users get older and probably more accurately reflect what users are looking for..

What do people think?

I am approaching my 3rd year on here, when I am actively seeking playmates, my maximum age is 35 it doesn't mean that if I come across someone older than that, that I fancied, that I wouldn't meet them but I rarely fancy guys over that age so don't want an inbox full if mail from guys I am not likely to want to play with. So no, I won't be changing my preferences, unless my preferences change

How would that work for a couple say with 30 years age difference?

When we look for a single man we prefer younger than my husband but older than me (with some exceptions).

People set their age preferences to suit themselves, not you OP. Try looking for people within your age group who may be interested and don't focus on the ones that aren't.

That's not what OP is saying.

He is suggesting an age range that moves with you.

When I was 30 I would have dated a girl in her 20s, now I wouldn't date a girl that young.

My preferred age range has moved with me as I've got older. The OP is suggesting automating that update.

It's not for everyone but it's a suggestion worthy of debate and investigation.

It's entirely possible to have the flex option as an option, or to set your preference in stone.

If it automatically changed upwards with your age, people would just adjust it back. Unless you are not fussed, then a lot if guys here after five years would be seeking out 104 year olds...

That would no doubt be a bit more complex - but I’m sure the technology would be available for you to select:

men 0 years younger than Mrs up to 20 years older than Mrs

couples 20 years younger than Mr up to 5 years older tham Mr
