Think it would be great when doing a search that you could list them in distance from you order

It means when you open who is online the nearest person to you shows first 2nd neatest second and those miles away on the last page lol

I was thinking this just yesterday. The list is not sorted by proximity. For instance I just clicked TV/TS Online and first in the list was Scotland. The first person in my own area was fourteenth in the list.

An alternative though might be to have Online Now as an option in the advanced search, then you can save it for a one-click search.

The search on line option is on mobiles and uses mobile location. It does list nearest first.

My problem is knowing if someone IS online. You see someone as being online, send a message and their status changes to last online 5 minutes ago. Ive also checked a profile of someone who was online 5 minutes ago and their profile says online now.

Why are the status' so out of synch?

Hiding in the shadows

Distance.. Depends if someone is on Via mobile or not.

My location shows at South East, but I wander a lot so could actually be in a totally different area, so would appear on who's near.

Time lag...a friend & I tested this recently, it took 8mins to show me as offline.

No idea why such a delay though, I'm really not a technically minded person

Oh that kind of figures. I tend to deny sites access to my location.

I would really have expected it to work from postcodes though even if mobile location is disabled.

Okehampton

Think you are referring to Who is nearest, that can be done when using the mobile app...Not sure it does it on a PC

Could be slow typing?
