Retiring photos by email

We're looking at retiring the photos by email option.

Back in the day, even iOS/iphone didn't support web upload so the only way to add photos was to email them to us using this service.

Time has moved on.

Nearly all browsers now support web upload. A tiny fraction of photos are now added with this service, falling weekly (under 1%).

Any comments please add below. If you use it please say why and what device

I personally have never used that way of uploading pics to this site, or anyother come to think of it..it does seem a very outdated way of doing it now..if it's used as low has you say now..I would get rid of it

Is there any possibility of extending the "Add a direct private photo" facility on mobiles to the desktop site? x

The ability to upload multiple photos would be good if you want to replace a function.

I hope this option does not get taken away as it's the only way i can upload photos using the phone i've got.

For bulk uploading it’s much better. As someone else said, happy for it to be removed it bulk upload is added to the site. Also the 10mb limit is painful so bulk upload would be better.
