Backlog in checking fake pics?

Just wondering what the average turnaround time is for admin to check fake pics?

I appreciate that resources are tight and that admin probably get inundated with reports that they need to verify - I reported a clearly fake catfishing account 3 days ago but the offending pictures are still there, so I’m assuming that either admin haven’t yet had time to review or have and still deem the account to be valid?

The pictures throw up multiple results on Tineye reverse image search (interestingly not so many on Google reverse search) and whilst I appreciate that some pics on here that appear on reverse image searches can be genuine of that person that they’ve also posted on other sites, the full uncensored versions on Tineye show 3 different people with 3 different faces being used by this one single Male profile!

I even have the original Tineye results I can share with the moderators if required, but so far no action has been taken and the catfishing fake account continues to catfish!!

Is 3 days still “early” or are admin letting fakes continue on the account?

It depends on how many admin or mods are online at the time as to how quickly things are dealt with. Generally about 2 days I think. However it is Bank Holiday weekend and they do have lives outside of fab too.

Of course, of that I have no doubt!

Thanks, so 3 days is still within realistic bounds given it’s a Bank Hol and school holidays etc, I’ll see if anything develops over the next few days!

I've reported a profile with clear stolen pics on Thursday evening last week. I do belive a couple others did too. The pics are still up and an additional stolen one has since been added. It is frustrating and one wonders why bother at times.

O o O oo

As always, reports can take up to 48 hours to be looked at sometimes a bit longer if they are really busy or it is a bank holiday/ weekend etc

Also , just because a pic is on another website doesn't mean the person is fake, we have pics on lot's of sites

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
