No idea if this is practical or not, but it occurred to me that a useful feature would be sorting for your inbox - perhaps a radio button that could switch between all mail and just that from friends. Perhaps not that important for the male profiles on this site, but for the single ladies (I read one status message that referred to getting 117 new messages in the time it took to make some cheese on toast) it might be quite a boon. And also for thse friends of the single ladies to know that their mail to them while they are offline might not get completely buried under a few hundred other new mails from those ever so eager blokes.

how about all new and even unread sent mail from friends to appear in a different colour, say in blue if its from/sent to/from a friend instead of yellow, could be a little easier to implement

A Home Among The Woodland Creatures

this has been suggested several times by several different posters - and seconded by many more.

Admin - are you taking notice?

I'd like to see the forum and the PM system migrated over to a vBulletin-based environment.

It would be a drastic change to the current system, and would mean the existing forum would probably have to be frozen at a certain date, and we'd effectively have to start again... although I guess the old system could be accessible in a read-only mode.

Yes, we do plan to do something to differentiate friend mails in the inbox, when we next update it.

We have a long list of projects and a very small team of programmers (1).

I think you mean can you have multiple pages of mailbox?

Probably not because we have tens of millions of mails on the system and the way it works encourages users to keep their mailbox clean. The larger people's mailboxes are the more it costs us in disk space, backup space, processing power etc.
