Blocking people

It would be helpful if you had blocked someone that this prevents them from commenting on any forum thread you start. Having been on the receiving end of people who just try and troll you to get your thread deleted I feel this would go along way to help and stop the inevitable slanging matches that start.

You could just ignore their posts as if it wasn't there maybe? Or when they do post on your thread, put a post telling people that they are trolling you and to ignore too, if they can?

It is against forum rules for people to comment to try and get around blocks. If this is happening then report their post and don't interact with them.

I think posting that they are trolling maybe construde as abusive and therefore result in comment being removed or post deleted and people being banned from using forums and empowers the trolls to troll more often.

Hopefully admin/ site owners, see the OP and take it into consideration for future updates to the site. If I block someone, I don't want to see them on my screen or appear on theirs. I have blocked them for a reason and I would expect the site to enforce it. I don't think that is unreasonable.

no the conversations on the threads would have gaps

we are all adults and can behave as one, if they bitch and snipe ignore them as will bug them more than swooping to their level!

Know what you’re saying but recently they have been making this really difficult as they are adding like twenty comments per thread all goading people to say something so they can report. One of them actually put on as a post that they enjoyed winding people up and getting them blocked

what would be good is if when somebody blocks someone neither could see the others posts it would save a lot of confusion . there is a couple local to me that are always posting about others messaging them to re message as they have accidently deleted all the messages then when you do re message they never open the message almost as if they have blocked you . it would be much better if when somebody blocked you you could no longer see them at all instead of just them not seeing you .
