...after reporting two profiles today using absolutely blatant stolen images; I'm wondering, as part of your approval process for photos; do you actually reverse image check them?

If not, then perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to do so....

Don't think they have time for that.

i think, given the ratio of members to admin/mods, it makes far more sense for members to report them..and the only times ive reported them, they've removed the pics pretty quickly

In your bed

I think some images are picked up, but I doubt they have time to reverse image all submitted pics.

"Don't think they have time for that."

It takes all of 2 minutes to check out only the obvious stolen net pics (and they are blindingly obvious) - but it begs the question what does the approval process actually consist of?

the site is free to access...have you looked at the sheer number of people online at any given moment..it would becompletely unworkable without scores of paid staff!

That would take a long time to do and ascertain whether the profile owner put them on other sites.

Yes it may only take 2 minutes but how many pics go on here daily or is that not getting through to you

Yep, pic mods can do that

Thousands and thousands of pics are uploaded every day. Mods are human and sometime they make mistakes. Thats why the reporting system is there.

If youve reported the pictures that you believe to be stolen then Admin will check it out, and if they find it to be the case then they will deal with it.

Are you on dial-up?

It only takes 5 seconds to use google image search or tineye.

Awesome

Could you just check all the pics then and report any iffy ones to admin. That would be such a help. Thanks for stepping up.

Already do.

In fact someone has joined the site a few minutes ago and posted a fake pic of a Lost character which got approved and which I have just reported. What do *you* do for the site?

O o O oo

They do if they think it is suspect yes. They are human though so sometimes mistakes are made from the thousands of pics a day that are uploaded.

You reporting helps the site though
