Disappearing emails and spurious hotlist additions

Noticed a few times that emails in our inbox simply disappear. We sometimes give an email a quick read but then mark it unread to come back to later (if not out and about or with people).

In the last few days a block of four emails vanished and we certainly didn't delete them - some were interesting too

Also today found someone in our hotlist that we certainly never added?

Weird? Feels like the site is a bit "buggy" sometimes?

Anyone else had that?

Periodically, to save space on the server, unread mails and old mails are deleted en-bloc.

If you want to hold onto mails, and are a Site Supporter, you can 'Save' them for future action.

Are you sure that the 'unknown hotlister' isn't someone who has undergone a name-change? That happens occasionally. Or you could have accidently added a new person without realising it - anyway, in either case, it's easy to remove them now.

The block of unread emails that disappeared had some others that were older and they are still there?
