We all have issues with the current system . It is massively open to abuse from fake profiles to not being truthful.

I think a system where you can still Do a write up but a box tick where you can say didn't turn up. Turned up not recommended. Turned up reccomened .cancelled less than 12 hrs 24hrs

These would not be hidden from profile

Would give the viewers a better idea of who you are dealing with and the chances of them letting you down which is happening all the time now

Just because you don't recommend people does not mean others won't like them! I don't look at verifications I make my own mind up after exchanging messages, and if I was meeting I would always Skype first

Exactly this.... I agree that it would be good to be able to note when people don't show, but cancelling with notice is perfectly acceptable, life gets in the way of fab and I think it sounds a bit peevish to be pissed off when someone gave you 24 hrs notice to cancel!

This would be still be open to abuse, and I don't read them anyway, I prefer to draw my own opinions on others

If someone has a few not recommended or cancelled 12hrs before then it will be obvious they are not to be trusted and gives people the option of blocking them

Turned up and not recommended? Based on what criteria? It's not Trip Advisor...and what would stop anyone leaving a fake score?

I disagree. The amount of people moaning about let downs is proof of that

I've seen a system I've suggested work brilliantly on another site so no it's not open to abuse.

When people are paying money.they expect a bit of a better service . Knowing if people are going to let you down or mess you around is Whats a needed

I don’t think I like the review idea, each to their own. If your meet wasn’t feeling it, they just won’t leave a veri, as I’ve never seen a bad one!

But the let down log could be good. Maybe only people with so many verifications could do this and then to profiles that are under a year old for example.

It costs very little to use Fab and its a great service. You just need to know how to vet people better.

In person verifications are everything. In my opinion, they're the only way to really tell whether someone is who they say and look like their pics.

If they fit what im looking for, I definitely read verifications of those who message me. If it's full of sexual descriptions I skip it. What one woman enjoyed, doesn't mean i will.

I focus on whether the guy looks like his pics, what's he like as a person and whether he's fine to be alone with. Arrogance, no shows and dirty/scruffy appearance is a passion killer for me. So I like reading detailed in person verifications.

I don't tend to look at verifications, certainly don't read them. The only reason for looking is to see how many are meet verifications and how many are cam. If they are usually cam, then you can hazard a guess that they probably wouldn't show for a meet.

People keep mentioning pay sites, having done both, before and after verifications were introduced, it tends to make no difference. I have yet to have my time wasted. I will confirm a couple of days before and on the day, even to the hour beforehand. No reply usually means there will be a no show. Personally I think people only have their time wasted if they don't put the effort in. Single or couple. Due diligence.

Recently I cancelled at less than 2hrs notice, because I got cold feet, I’d already started getting ready to leave then we had another conversation which totally freaked me out. I know it would have been very frustrating for him, but I think my reasons for cancelling were very valid so why should I in that situation get a negative review? It’s frustrating and I understand why people want to be able to have a better vetting process but I don’t think the current one is bad.

I'm not having issues with the current system Nor are hundreds of other people, perhaps you advertising for photoshoots is what's attracting the wrong type?

We have tried negative feedback on another site. The genuine swingers who received negative feedback (for whatever reason) hated it showing on their profiles.

The people who didn't care and you probably wouldn't want to meet, just deleted and started over.

We tried lots of variants of it but we came to the conclusion that the simple system here on Fab, despite the drawbacks, was better.

I think the current system works fine. OP you need to remember that forum users are only a small part of Fab members. If you aren't happy that you are getting value for money, then go to another site.

Also anyone could abuse it by saying they chatted to a member but they cancelled with 12/24 hours notice. If people get cold feet that is their prerogative. Consent for sex can be withdrawn at any time, even in the bedroom. Chatting does not mean the other party has to fuck you or be fucked by you. X

That would be even worse. Then anyone could say anyrhing avoit some one just because they didnt like what they said or there pics

The verification system is just a tool and works fine as that. It's not the site's job to baby sit people.

The thing is though what you are suggesting wouldn't deter timewasters or fake profiles, they'd either not care about a negative veri or delete the profile and start a new one.

The ONLY way to combat fake profiles and timewasters is for people to be more diligent in who they choose to arrange to meet with and take their time to have a reasonable level of comfort that the person they are meeting is who they say they are and will turn up, either by talking in the phone, Skype etc or just building up a level of confidence through messaging etc.

I'll wager that at least 80% of the time no shows are down to people rushing into arranging a meet without looking beyond that and building that level of confidence the other person will show up.

And all that is without looking at the system you suggest being open to abuse by people who would leave a negative feedback even if they'd not actually arranged to meet someone (or had asked for a meet and been refused).

The system at the moment isn't without it's faults but works perfectly well as a guideline and people use their own diligence to decide how genuine they think someone is.

Validations are extremely important but you need to learn how to read them. I will give few examples:

1. Only Web cam validations- they are not meeting, just dreamers;

2. Last validation few monts old- unless statement in the profile, not serious swingers and shows that something is going on in personal life;

3. Verification just from men but says looking for couples- red light flashing, someone is not ready;

4. Verifications from parties and clubs only where peooke say met them but didn't have time to play- those are just party people and not swingers;

5. Basic Verification- means that the others did not enjoy the meet, but still leaves verification to receive one back.

6. In case of a couple, very says we met him...and his girl... Or vice versa - mean Fuck budies.

7. One year old profile with 1 or no validations- dreamers, not swingers.

Above is just an example of how you can read between the lines.

Negative veries will not work, as people will just create fresh profiles, and ask old friemds to re-verify.
