This is a great idea but would be better if you could delete individual messages from your own side permanently. The missus likes to play anonymously/blindfolded now and then and its annoying when i arrange a guy shes never supposed to know then 2 days later he messages and the whole thread comes back despite me having deleted it. Fantasy ruined! Using CL for this kinda thing now but id rather be able to do it here

Hi. If you switch back to in grouped you will see all the messages still there. You can delete them there the old way then switch back to grouped.

This is a laborious way of doing what should be an extremely simple task. We get hundreds of messages a week so if the original conversation was two weeks old I'd need to spend about an hour deleting messages to get far enough back to delete the ones i wanted to. Most other messaging tools let you select indivudual messages in a grouped chat and delete them permanently

Yeah me too but again this is another example of a very simple thing that could make fab so much better. The development that goes into this site seems to be minimal and sporadic. Maybe time a new site came along that was actually intuitive for its users instead of clunky and lagging behind the rest of the technological world!

It would be great if you could search by username for messages. You can see someone mailed you a few weeks ago, but then you how to go scrolling and deleting to find out what was said.

When you open a message, do you see the previous messages in that conversation, when you scroll down the page?

If not - you will need to click on the button for the new mailbox - it was above the list of messages.

Thanks, I figured out I didnt have that option as I wasn't a site supporter, all sorted now

Would be good if you could search messages by username - or if when you click on a profile and it says this user messaged you X amount of time ago, you could click on that as a link and it would take you to their message
