Didn't seem to get an answer from the first thread which was closed due to size. So, will the new age verification law affect this site?

Well this is what we do know:

VERIFICATION

All pornography sites must use age-verification software of some kind to block under 18s from accessing their content.

REGULATIONS

The British Board of Film and Classification (BBFC), will oversee the implementation of the regulations.

BLOCKS

Internet service providers will be forced to block any websites that do not comply and fines of £250,000, or five per cent of financial turnover, could be implemented.

Does FAB have any update on how this will effect the users? Particularly those who have bought site supporter past April.

The law is not in force yet. The regulations have not been finalised.

They will be sensibly waiting until it is finalised, before making any decisions on what they need to do, or taking any legal advice.

And as I said in the other thread, they will be ok in any event.

As was discussed in the other thread that is your interpretation only. This thread is for a response from fab admin, not for individuals to voice their speculation, after all it won't be you paying the fine.

You won't get a response from them. I told you why.

I spent a lot of time yesterday explaining the law to you. Why are you asking the same thing again.

There will be no problem with this site and the law.

At the moment all it is is people at loggerheads and it is going round in circles so I think I will shut this.

I am sure when Admin have something to say they will start a thread about it.
