browsing meet listings

When browsing meet listings they are presented randomly. Where listings go over one page then it's possible to see some of the first page's listings again and to never see some of the posted meets. Can you confirm that's the case and can it be fixed?

They're in date order, newest first

We've never noticed any missing but if you let us know the exact details of the missing listings and where they are on the pages, let us know

What date?

The date of the meet? If so, how are they ordered within the date?

Date placed? If so, how are they ordered within the date?

Date/time the meet organiser was last on line?

They're not ordered in date or time order at all. Go to say, Scotland, meet listings, then filter for single males and it'll show meets posted. I've never seen them ordered by date. Just done it and there's a mix of hours in among days or weeks postings. So, therefore, when you go to page 2 they're there again listed randomly.

Guys, you have spotted a problem here, having looked at it again.

We've specified a primary sort order (date of meet) but no secondary one so like you say when flicking between pages they are, effectively, random.

We'll get this sorted. Thanks for the heads-up.

Give that a whirl.

Sorts by meet date first, then date posted secondary so newest postings are at the top.

Admin,

something not quite right!

Searching for tonight 13th, NW & any.

The first page starts at posted just this minute and the last is 6days ago.

The 2nd page starts at 4 hours and goes down to 5days.

3rd page 59 mins to 2 days.

Meets are sorted by time, within each page.

A personal friend who only has one meet on her profile appears on pages 1 & 3. Both of these show the same time since posting.

Hope that helps

Looks good!!

Do lists of these sort always show the last item on page 1 as the first item on page 2, etc.?

However, fixing this does raise another question! If you filter for today, NW & any, you'll see that one profile has 7 identical meets. This isn't a fault in the listing, they really have 7 identical meets. I thought you were allowed a max of 5?

Yep, there is a bug where some folks have posted more than the allocated number. This is on our list to track down!

We show the last item of the previous page on the paged list simply to give users (and ourselves) confidence that none have been missed
