Could there be a way to get this option introduced to stop guys constantly bring forum topics into private messages?

You open yourself to messages if posting on forum as the other lady said delete if you don't want to read

I've never been contacted privately via the forums unless participating in the forum games

I get what you mean, a filter to stop messages to your profile accessed from the forum, that would work

I don't mind being contacted off it privately. I mean nothing to stop them going to your page and sending a message. Sometimes they can reply in forum and it gets lost in the thread whereas a wee message esp if helpful can be nice

I don't mind the odd one here and there but it seems to be everytime I post on a thread I get private messages from it

I get the same but I either reply or delete the same with any message.
