whispers in chat rooms

i have used many chat sites. on those sites there is always an option to turn off/on private messages within rooms.

is it possible to have an option like that here?

sometimes it is impossible to hold a convo in room bcoz ppl r inundated with unwanted whispers.

thx for otherwise a great site
